Edmonton's biggest problem to me is Connor and Leon still plays way too much. 22+ minute a game will wear them out as the season go on.

The effort was there, the finish wasn’t. Also sick and tired of Blackwood getting all these bounces, whistles and breaks whenever he plays against us. Hope we send Ferland and Virtanen to take a run at him to start the next meeting.

Should of send one of Ferland/Virtanen to run Blackwood over at some point during the game.

I thought McCann’s game was fine. He also fine tuned it since leaving Vancouver. He didn’t become the strong 2-way center we hope him to be, but he still will have a solid NHL career. Never liked NJD. Introduced the trap and is responsible for the dead-puck era, made the game a lot less exciting to watch. I don’t like Scott Stevens, this guy spent his career ending other player’s careers, dirty player (I know this is controversial, but I don’t like players like Stevens). Also, their dumb draft lottery luck is next to Edmonton.

I remember a few years ago during the Sedins and Luongo era, we went on an Eastern road swing, we did pretty good in W/L wise, but every game, a kid scored his first NHL goal against us.

We will never hear the end of it now. He scored on his brother’s team, this is going to be replay every year for the rest of their careers.

This guy is a real professional. Not a single complain when he was waived and being sent down. I really hope at some point he gets another shot at the NHL level.

I agreed with 1/3 of your points. In a re-draft, EP goes #1 no doubt. As much as we all love QH43, Dahlin was a no brainer as a #1 pick and he was projected and will still be the best player in his draft year. Jack Hughes vs. Vasili Podkolzin is way too early to project. Advantage still goes to Jack Hughes. But I always hope Jack Hughes to be a Dylan Strome 2.0, where he doesn't live up to his hype in New Jersey, we acquire him for cheap and he blossoms here.

He just has to look at Dustin Byfuglien in Winnipeg and decides that he has been playing for a long time and he comtemplate to retire and the Canucks just have to approve and since by the time the contract expires, he is not 35 yet, so there won't be any cap-recapture penalty and that is $6 million off our books.
