  1. Willander was the right pick. It's about time the Canucks finally have a high end RD, to match their high end LD. Good job not falling for the Benson temptation. Kid is real good, but he'll struggle against the big boys. Wood is also going to be a pylon out there.
  2. I wish, Canucks are probably taking Willander
  3. I knew I could count on Stevie to do something wacky
  4. Imagine if Michkov falls to #12 - Arizona
  5. If another team takes Willander, I can see Allvin possibly trading down
  6. I agree, looking at some lists, Willander is lower down, but the same with Simashev. I think Simashev could go in the Top 10. It sounds like he's impressed since he arrived. If the Canucks do draft Simashev, I wonder if he should be called "sushi" (because that's all he pretty much knows about Vancouver, good sushi) Almost time! GCG!
  7. Feeling almost certain the Canucks are drafting Tom Willander
  8. Can this be a thing that does some very big things? Honzek - Pettersson - Lekkerimaki
  9. I'm going to need some time to let this settle, if this is their pick at #11. Honzek looks to be a good player, certainly has size, good hands. Similar to Wood, but maybe a better skater than Wood?
  10. 1. CHI - Bedard 2. ANA - Carlsson 3. CBJ - Michkov 4. SJ - Fantilli 5. MTL - Smith 6. ARI - Reinbacher 7. PHI - Dvorsky 8. WAS - Leonard 9. DET - Wood 10. STL - Barlow 11. ?? Benson, Simashev, Danielson, Willander Canucks will have some real good options
  11. haha, I feel like this is Christmas dinner. Takes all day (year) to prepare, but it's scarfed down in 20 minutes. Have a feeling it'll fly by and then then the shock will set in
  12. I've been for and against Matt Wood for months. One day I think he would be a great pick and the next I feel he's a winger and a bit slow etc. Isn't he one of the youngest prospects in this Draft? and he's 6'4' 193? How big is this kid going to get? If he improves his skating, he could be a force. Especially on Petey's wing. Plop him in front on the PP and the goalie wouldn't see a thing Trying to think of which players could have the biggest impact. Wood could be the guy.
  13. My nerves are starting to ramp up Getting edgy and anxious, been waiting a year for this one pick (like most of us). I'm a little afraid Allvin is going to trade the #11 for D help now, like the #11 for Dumba (aaahhh! I would be so mad). Or maybe he's forced to trade down (and draft a lesser player) in order to move Garland, for example. My high hopes are Reinbacher, Simashev, Benson and Dvorsky
  14. Could be a bluff, but it doesn't sound like they're keen on Reinbacher or any of the USNDT guys.
  15. Moore seemed underwhelming at the U18s. I recall a whole lot of Smith, Leonard and Perreault though. They say Moore could be the fastest skater in the draft, but Tyler Motte is really fast too. Do the Canucks want to draft a Motte-like player at #11? Moore need to show more IMO. Canucks need a Future Star
  16. Comparables? ("OMG, we got him!") Michkov Benson Dvorsky Leonard Reinbacher Simashev
  17. I don't think Michkov drops, not now. Same with Simashev. I think all of the scouts will love these guys and they'll be scoped up fast. My hope is that Benson slips through the cracks and makes it to #11. Or, if Dvorsky is there, take him. Canucks need D for sure, and I think they end up with Willander. Doesn't excite me too much, but I guess he'll be pretty good. Hope anyway. I'm starting to think Wood may have a lot of upside yet. He's got size, for sure, but he's also a really smart player. A winger now, but he may be playing C? I think Wood could probably step into the lineup next year (2024/25 season) Barlow could be another really smart pick that makes the jump sooner rather than later.
  18. If one of the questions isn't "Would you rather play for the Canucks?", then I don't care much.
  19. Smyl approaches the podium: "The Vancouver Canucks are proud to select, from Sweden, Axis Sundin Pelican"
  20. High End Prospects C - Raty W - Lekkerimaki, Hoglander D - G - Silovs Passable as "should be pretty good" one day: Klimovich, Woo, D-Petey Canucks need high end D developing
