I never realized Cole was brought to MIN to play in a D pairing with Soucy. Do you think they'll use that pairing in VAN? Hughes - Hronek Soucy - Cole I know Hughes and Hronek are both considered offensive Dmen, and some might question putting together two ODs, but they're the best skaters and the best D on the team, so why not? That is a high end D pairing. Chances are, if they don't have the puck, they'll get it.

You're probably right about Woo, he might be edged out, but that's okay too. Another year in Abby wouldn't be a bad thing. I just have high hopes for him to make it.

This guy is a beaut, he's gonna be a star for the Canucks. Still so young, but so mature and focused, and nice about it. He's not ego-driven or entitled. This kid wants to be the best and win a championship, but he knows he needs to work hard and he knows he needs to improve. So excited for the Canucks future with him. It was the right pick and he will be the best D in the 2023 draft class. Reinbacher was a big miss for MTL at #5 IMO. They should've taken Leonard. So, how long before Willander joins the team? Is 2 years out of the question? He's already got decent size, and skates/thinks the game like a pro.

I'm excited by the Defense, and what that could look like one day. They say D wins championships, so, well done Allvin. Canucks also have elite goaltending. Hughes - Willander Pettersson - Hronek Kudryavtsev - Brzustewicz Hirose - Woo Mynio - Johansson Jurmo - Celebrini (wild card) (also: Rathbone, McWard, Utunen, Truscott) And on Offense, there's Petey and Miller - two 100 point players. I also expect Kuzmenko to take a big step (imagine that after last season's excellence)

Schenn is slow, Burroughs is barely an NHL player. The Canucks improved their D yesterday. That's all I need to know.

While we're assuming...I'll assume VAN trades Pearson for McDavid.

Hopefully Soucy, Cole and Irwin will provide plenty of Truculence. Add Juulsen and possibly Woo to the mix and that's a pretty heavy defense that can bang and crash. Can't wait for the season to get going.
