Scotty Bowman said the best trade he ever made was the one he didn’t. He almost traded Yzerman, but could get the right return. Maybe we are lucky to have kept Brock? He’s been looking great with Tocchet as coach.

It's totally not impossible like he definitely has the tools no question he can put up points. Just need to find a way to light a fire. When Brock plays inspired he plays great but he is so seldom skating hard, finishing checks, getting in the mix for pucks. Brock with some killer instinct is a 30g guy. We saw Brock hustle on hockey fights cancer night. Haven't since. Didn't much before either.

@nuckin_futz it was pretty common in the earlier years of the NHL for the coach to also be the GM... Bowman was Gm a few times in his career including the red wings.
