  1. How has Tampa done it for the past 3-4 seasons ? They didn’t trade those they highly valued.. The way this team is lining up today , I see the potential for players like Horvat and Boeser to seem like they’re getting paid too much.. The pressure is going to be on them to play aggressively or they, Like I’m predicting Garland and Pearson, will be moved. I really like Mikheyev’s mobility and prowess,. .. and we should only enjoy his best years yet in this contract.
  2. Listened to Lazars interview , kid is stoked to be coming home, having a very positive outlook on his own game. He knows his own potential, at least what it was in Junior.. it sounds like he is thrilled to have this opportunity here, I would not be surprised if we get to see some of the best hockey he has played in the nhl.
  3. I like this signing.. it’s a great grab, kid is dynamic, full tool box. Dosent wait for the puck, has a step up.. knows what areas to go to, get the lane for his advantage .. He is shifty behind D coverage in the Ozone. Great Skater , Great Shot Personally, I see more potential in this player than what I’ve seen in Brock.
  4. That’s a great way to start the trolling you deserve.. great work sporto… If your trying to win something, consider it yours.
  5. The thing is Martin, if he gets some goo games this season, might prove to be a valuable asset for a good draft pick or prospect next season . Martin won’t be able to take Demkos spot, and might deserve the reall opportunity to take a number 1 spot with another Team. Arizona, Chicago , will be stacked with picks next draft. ps. The goalie we grabbed from PGeorge was the best in the draft this year
  6. Nice, starting to define the gritty culture change needed here , and these signings can skate. . The level of intensity in these players is going to compliment that of Millers ,. The rub off effect through the team, and got “your back” mentality is something we should see out of the gate. I truly think camp is going to be high tempo. Welcome Joshua , opportunities will suface here quickly for you with Bruce.
  7. I think Curtis is a sold grab, and he sounds highly motivated.. I’d still like to see Juho back,. He still has upside. Boudreau has seen it,. and Juho responded to him when given the opportunity to check some profile players in the last quarter of the season.
  8. Tanev again , never finished , when his team needed him most he was out injured, again. Its almost like clockwork that he never finishes the season, post or regular. it’s clutch. To be honest , Bo or Brock don’t really impress me .. there are more and better players than them that may offer a little less in goals, but are far better physical players than them.. something this team needs from them. If your ok paying EP far over 7m a season for developing, then know that when he goes UFA, he’ll want a lot more or go elsewhere. … and sorry to pop the bubble Alf, but it’s over.. history isn’t for excuses,. It’s to learn from to be better… We only started to play better after Millers arrival 3 years ago.
  9. Pretty sure the Hawks will capitalize trying to move Kane and or Toews at the TDL., That’s a rebuild happening there now,. If they don’t tank out this season in what seems to be a good draft next season, they have assets stacked to be grabbing the 1, 2, or 3 OA , or at least 2 first round picks.
  10. This might leave E Kane out of Edm.. he was given the opportunity to speak to other teams before UFA.. heard Connor Brown might be a replacement,. It’s a stretch of a replacement at Kanes 0.75 ppg though.
  11. You mean they’ll be stuck with a bunch of old and worn out Canucks
  12. EP. Brock and Horvat have not reached their potential ceilings,. but they’re getting very good money to show it. EP was Bambi for 3/4 of last season and I think he’s getting more than 7.5 for the next 2-3 seasons.. Brock Disappeared and is getting close to 7m to show or go over the next 3 years. Horvat, all though a very good centerman, FO specialist is probably going to get 7.5m on this next contract.. he is not physical , and not really the leadership example this team needs. We have money dedicated to the “top end “that is overrated for what we get.
  13. Seems like management wants to play hardball with the guys who make peanuts for money, but are happy to keep desert on the menu for Brock, Bo, EP.
  14. Perhaps the Tryamkin thread, currently at 750 pages surpasses this one in February?
  15. It’s the “age” argument that’s the “straw man” This Fan base and management is scared.. Tampa Bay management has had great success with the plus 30 players.. id love to here their thoughts on this issue. There are other assets on this club to use to get what we need now for a better graduated ascension to a far more powerful team with Miller over the next 4 years… Ive said this all along, Miller will still have value as a 33-34-35 year old , on a term contract to another team. It probably an option he would like IF the team is not progressing here. Bo in the meantime could bring his same value back + , if he was moved to a Team requiring his talents this season.
  16. My 2 bits …. Horvat and Hughes for Barzal and Dobson
  17. Yes, did …. Just contradicting with how Boudreau will try to give fair opportunity, even when that window does not exist. I think Boudreaus realized the potential of players like Lammikko, when Horvat went down. …. And Podz when moved up to the pp.. Boudreaus trust gland ripened in a few short glimpse’s of some of our players when they had to move up.. I think Camp will boost that even more… im just being contrary to how Green would approach the matter.. “ play to earn” .. is only a legit statement if the opportunity to progress exists. I think Boudreau will enhance opportunities this season.. offensively, I see more punch because of that.
  18. I can agree with you RWJC , it’s unfortunate that’s it’s Garland, perhaps he can go to “face off camp” It may be best to hold the status quo, and management reassess their issues into the new season. Camp might give us some options, especially with Kuzmenko here, who I think will look dynamite if given the chance on the pp. Perhaps Garland helps to bring that D option.
  19. And we pay Demko $&!#e, and we’re ok with that as fans ? a developing EP 40 3 years @ 7.3m a hopeful Boeser 3 years @ 6.65m a developing Hughes at least gave us a 6 year term @ 7.8m next Horvat? 6.8 - 7+ ? for half the output JT has brought at 1.0 ppg. Its messed up. raise the godamn draft age or something..
  20. Your underestimating everything Miller, yes leads with this pack.… go back to the years without him then,. and add a few sprinkles to that doughnut. It might seem different, but .. no leadership like his will evolve from this team, it didn’t when he wasn’t here. In 3 short seasons , he has brought the chemical balance fro zero, to 80 farenheight. Are we that fragile without him? Chemistry,. It’s an amazing science. What we’re we without him? .. we won’t replace that, and those who have had that chance previously, to create what he does, Will go back to their silent ways.. plus a few lost sprinkles
  21. I appreciate what you have written, but we are Talking of trading one the best player this Team has seen with a full tool box since Linden, Bure or Stan Smyl. The difference of Horvat at aprox 7m , or Miller at 8 m .. what will be aprox / hypothetically be a 2 m difference in contract , or less, for twice the all round player. Age is a straw man, Ask Tampa, even Colorado will talk about veteran presence. We’ll get almost the same return for Horvat, a good one.. and keep a driving force in Miller who will , as he is defining a role model for others on this team. One that will be carried on. The silence of the Naslund , Sedin eras is something we need to leave behind . That is the culture change needed in this franchise. Thats not. Knock on their contributions, but look at the high emotional level other Teams Captains play with. That is what is sorely missed in this city. The difference of having a true leader who can define that , into his mid 30’s , and possibly for 7 years here, is aprox 2m or less a year. That is what this comes down to. Trade Horvat.
  22. Same with Horvat, Same with BB, Same with EP ,. Some just don’t get it? .. and I can’t recall an injury to Miller , but I beleive his block shot percentage is one of the highest on the team. …. Oh, but let’s only consider his age … THAT…. ^. Is the biggest STRAW MAN that exists. Hype from a scaredy cat fan base after enduring years LE , who I beleive came here as damaged goods after 2-3 really bad concussions. Is Tampa afraid to carry 30 year olds? 3 years in the Finals.
  23. Every other forward above 6.5 % of the cap has been plugging along, developing , or showing less of a potential ceiling.. reach for what ever cliches you wish, But this franchise needs a reality check passed on to its players. Not unlike yourself and some of the Fanbase stuck on the Planet of Mediocrity willing to gamble a star , for stardust. Time to toss the the “age game” , Agent .. don’t let your fears get the worst of you.
  24. No,. We were doing quite well with our 1.0 ppg player , even from the get go 3 years ago. Where has everyone else been? I know trading Horvat will ruin every wish list you have dreamnt up here, but I’m sure you for one could get used to the idea, and dream a little more
