  1. @Alflives If the Devils, wanted to trade the number two pick, it wouldn’t be for a 29-year-old with a year left on his contract. Plus, why would the Devils trade the pick anyway? Slafkovsky has a ton of potential and him joining the likes of Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes would be good for them. For the Canucks, Miller isn’t good enough for the second overall pick and if they were to get it, they would have to trade someone like Quinn Hughes or Elias Pettersson for it. Trading for the second overall pick is a pipe dream for the Canucks. Yes, you never know what could happen in hockey but I’ll my hat if this one becomes reality.
  2. I read an article in hockey writers that said Q Hughes would give us 2nd OA.. it also re-unites the Hughes Bros, which would be a big sell in Jersey. I don’t mind losing Hughes , as good as he is, he is a target, and not as robust as Makar. But we would also need to sign a D with his capabilities on UFA.. not entirely impossible. Trade Hughes 6.5 x 5 - Land Slafkovsky (perhaps a wrist twist for the rights to Zacha too) Pick up UFA Fiip Forsberg 27 yrs old 7.5 x 6 or 7 . ? This player is getting better and not showing any sign of aging. I think the point totals shared by OEL and Forsberg could be the best 1-2 punch from any 2 D in the NHL. Slafkovsky is going to be a power beast.
  3. It’s THAT culture that needs to come back.. to me…. Miller breathes it, he’s a war horse any team will have…. So why give him away for anything.
  4. K,.. I’ll try “scathing” instead .. .. kind of looks like him??
  5. Pretty sure we’re losing some loose change on the team to gather an offer for Zadorov. Hunt has been valuable to us , a pro who can fill the holes or hold his lines together. I dearly appreciate his time and play here… but it’s time to let the prospects battle in and out of the line up,. And we still need that extra vigorous great skating D man to let them all play the same 6’7” together as a D core. Rathbone gets that promise with the one way contract.. but I do beleive after a solid Summer, and hopefully the Canucks have their new trainers ready, Juulsen Breisbois and a really great looking Viktor Peersson start to create some waves . Id love to see us land Zadorov,. and maybe we get a late Christmas present in March https://www.instagram.com/reel/COdwFGXFQHr/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  6. He left to go home an start a family, he has had 2 children since he left. He loves his wife. Times change. And soon enough Tryamkin may well realize he is living in a country where the economy,. And rinks already only averaging 6000 attendees per game , with a Ruble stagnating and compressing are doomed to survive the years of sanctions implemented on them by the World. I only hope, he and his family will be able to get out.. but in fact Putin may start to implement an Iron Wall on the Country. He has great connections here, even as a UFA who has played 70 nhl games as a 21-22 yr old,. He showed impressively. His game is a solid shut down D , who takes the puck away from high performing puck carriers. in two strides he will stop the progression of the puck and player, or intimidate the puck carrier to drop possesion. @Hairy Kneel @Stierlitz and others have been updating his Thread for 4 years , putting in the time and effort so other posters can get an idea of how this Canuck prospect has been carrying forth in his game and life. Your delinquent remarks I find rude and disrespectful to time myself and others here have spent trying to keep people informed. Obviously the player means nothing to you or I would have recognized you there in his thread, and if he did you would have followed his career lately. The internet is a powerful tool. Just because you don’t know, because you have not seen, do not assume others have not as well. IF, IF, .. he is able to sign a contract and play with us at the end of the KHL season, it will be for short term, probably pro rated on 1.5 m - 2. perhaps a show me contract, open ended to extend,. Or go into UFA again. He would be an excellent p/u in March for a possible push into the playoffs. There is still the possibility the KHL does not complete the season because of the War.
  7. Childish is how you reacted to my post,. I gave you back everything you deserved. The reflection in the mirror, is entirely yours.
  8. Personally now Boeser is signed , I’d trade Dipietro to Montreal for: one of their 2nd round picks (33rd or 66th) they are weak in Goalie depth, and they’re scouts must have like Dipietro before. The best rated G In the draft is Tyler Brennan but mock drafts only see him picked in the 3rd round. Horvat for : New Jersey’s 2nd OA (Slavovsky or Wright) Zacha (drafted 6 OA in 2015) 25yrs and one of: Kevin Bahl ( drafted 55 OA 2018) 22yrs or Shakir Mukhamadullin (drafted 20 OA 2020) 19yrs Regardless We pick: 2nd OA 15th OA 33 or 66th OA We drop cap. … I know, playing the bad guy again
  9. And a team that’s playing to its fullest potential without any goalie , or one on the horizon, cap hell included. Tavares will accidentally fall down and bang his head in practice and LTIR will save the day.. meanwhile Tavares will get to sit and watch eye rolling hockey with Harry Potter and Shanahan in the press box.
  10. I’d love to see Zube come this way 2.5m and a year away from UFA. creates a bit of a bottleneck for us that could sort itself out over the season.
  11. There is something very Avery”esk” about Kadri. I get his drive and motivation, but I don’t think 8 mil is a figure he will get to continue with. I think he’s at the 6.5-7 ... and term for him to get to 36 years old is going to be hard to find I would think? JT full tool box is everything and everything more than Kadri could ever bring.
  12. I’d like to see Chaisson back, but I thought it was reported he signed in Europe?
  13. He was a third round pick, and the Habs have interests in him. Id say he brings a 2nd or hi 3rd pick back
  14. You asked this simple question and I gave you a simple answer. Lammikko had15 points last season, give him the pp time BB has had are you saying Lammikko wouldn’t score? Two totally different players but Lammikko isn’t afraid to go to the net, nor would he wait like a telegraph pole for an excellent pass to shoot. Kuzmenko, I think will highly out perform Brock,. Watching a lot of tape on Kuz, he loses D men behind the net and looks to see who’s open.. put him on the pp, and he is straight to the net after that move. Seems you think BBis irreplaceable or something? far from it…. Wouldn’t be surprised if he does what Dubois is speculated to do.
  15. Nope, but we’re probably moving on from Boeser.
  16. The question aired was…. Who on the team could replace Brock? I said if given the same opportunities on the top 2 lines and time on the power play that Brock has enjoyed, it’s possible Kuzmenko or Lammikko could. Take Brock off the pp and he has only 12 goals. Lammikko had 7 .. given his size and strength in front of the crease, he might actually do better than Brock on the pp.
  17. And 12 even strength goals shouldn’t get you a 6 or 7 m contract.
  18. I never said replace.. but take Boeser off the pp ,. And his goal totals are around 17 goals. And Boeser has never scored 30 goals,. But the total of his goals relies heavily on the pp. Take Boeser off the pp and his goal totals drop almost 50 %. like I said. Give anyone that same opportunity and you might be surprised.
  19. And Boeser has never scored 30 goals,. But the total of his goals relies heavily on the pp. Take Boeser off the pp and his goal totals drop almost 50 %. like I said. Give anyone else those opportunities,. Possibilities exist.
  20. Maybe stop thinking everybody else has issues. Yours seem quite prolific .
  21. Given the same opportunities, top 2 lines, exceptional pp time ect.. Kuzmenko, and possibly Lamikko. BB scored 11 of his 23 goals on the pp.
