  1. Yes thanks I'm clear on that, appreciated What I'm asking is what happens if there is NO play in, NO playoffs, the season is cancelled?.
  2. Ok, thanks So if the entire thing is shut down, no return to play, do we keep or loose the first round we traded to TBL (NJ)? Do we finish in 8th or 9th based on standings or points per game when the league was paused?
  3. Question please. As I understand it, if we loose the play in round to the Wild we retain our traded pick and enter the second lottery with 12.5% odds to pick first. Is it only the 1st selection that can be won?. Additionally, if the play in and hub tournaments are cancelled all together do the Canucks finish in the last wildcard spot or 9th? Standings when league paused or final points/game? Thanks
  4. Tell us how you really feel
  5. I'll find a vet and ask him personally. I don't buy into what your suggesting, the vets will be well rested, injury free, and through experience know how to be prepared. Just my opinion
  6. Rusty team? we'll be in the same game shape as them. Gonna be a great short series. I agree, hit them lots, hit them hard, hit them fast
  7. Thank you. We can live very comfortable for 6 months on 1/3 the cost of staying in Canada. I just wanted to say that our concerns are miniscule insignificant to the loss of loved ones, jobs, way of life, etc caused by this virus. Families and people are suffering. We really feel for the affected families
  8. Enjoy! My hope is a vaccine is approved and distributed this fall We want to travel again this winter Love beautiful BC for 6 months but it's a big beautiful world out there, especially with no snow and cold
  9. Grow the right green, could help pay the bills, in October
  10. Last time, 2008, it was the banks and auto makers that received the bulk of government bailout. I'm not begrudging any help, CERP, for working Canadians, it's a good thing. Just hope that somewhere somehow someone says " what can we do to help the retired people" I'm sure the government doesn't want us retirees going back into the crowded work force, going bankrupt, not paying our bills.
  11. You are whining but your not alone. We also took a huge hit on our investments. We've reduced our monthly dividends, reorganized our portfolio with more diversification into bonds and GICs Going to learn to spend less. No help from the government for our investments, perhaps on our income tax? I've been looking but no news about retirees. We will survive, go Canucks go
  12. same here, all 4 kids are still working, 1 in Australia, like goes on, although like suspended animation
  13. I would honestly say the Truck drivers are doing their job. Grocery stores would be empty without them, Gas stations, hardware, hospital equipment, booze, etc It would be devastating to shut down the trucking industry
  14. We've been in lockdown with a travel ban, had to get a facilitation letter to just drive to airport. That and 6 cancelled flights in the past 10 days, might answer your question We are resigned now after all this to hunker down and wait it out I'm predicting similar conditions in Canada next week so locked down here or there is a lot safer than travel at the moment And we certainly don't expect our government to jump to our rescue as I see others on the news complaining, we'll be fine Thanks for your care and concern Stay safe
  15. Thanks Full fridge and some really good inexpensive wine makes life tolerable. I really feel for families loosing loved ones
  16. Thanks, some interesting points , appreciate your thoughts I think it's difficult for an airplane, airport or train to be a cluster as people are on the move and not stationary for the incubation period 2 passengers just off Westjet from Portugal tested positive Our flight home March 27th was cancelled by Westjet, next available flight April 25th Fyi, the airports here have been swamped with stranded holiday passengers attempting to get home, many checked out of there vacation rentals and are now stuck at the airport as all hotels have been ordered closed. Our plan now is to stay put for April and only come home if there is a government repatriation flight.
  17. Well here in southern Spain it's day 7 of the lock down. Our flight home March 27th is cancelled next available flight April 25! Took a week of trying to contact Westjet to get info! Days spent on hold, emails, Facebook.......... We are staying at a small farm isolated from people but must leave tomorrow. All hotels ordered clossed. We've rented an airbnb apartment for 2 weeks, looking for another to fill the gap. Canadian consulate issued us a travel document to move location. They also recommended that airtransat has a flight leaving Sunday to Montreal, can't book online, probably full, but that we should go to the airport and see if there are any seats available? I'm questioning the recommendation to go to a crowded airport for hours, possibly get on crowded plane flying home from infection hot spot? We are going to hunker down over here and stay safe. Very unfortunate but it's the reality of the times we are living in. Stay safe, stay isolated from people, be supportive of one another. Gosh I sure miss hockey
  18. can live on surfaces for up to a week? Source please
  19. Ps Games are hard to watch over here at 4am on cell data. Highlights don't show how a particular player has been playing Hence the questions Just watched the highlights, looked like a he'll of a game What's your thoughts on the game big guy?
