Just floating this out there because I have seen a lot of people discussing which goaltender we should protect in the expansion draft. Why not both? Offer a pick and an asset (maybe Kole Lind?) in order to keep Marky and Demmer. Just my view on things

@coastal.view https://www.espn.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/43125/rumblings-las-vegas-will-get-a-head-start-on-free-agency
It says, "Vegas organization will have a 48-hour window ahead of the expansion draft in June to speak with and sign any pending unrestricted or restricted free agents whom the 30 teams left unprotected for the expansion draft." "If any of the 30 teams loses a free agent to Vegas during this 48-hour window, it no longer can lose anyone in the expansion draft. In other words, that free agent lost counts as the one player lost in the expansion draft."
As proof Vegas took Deryk Engelland from Calgary in their expansion draft. He was a pending UFA that summer. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/deryk-engelland Calgary didn't lose anyone else.
Seattle will have the same rules as Vegas.

i am wrong
not sure though why a team gets credit for a player it has no control over
thanks for the correction
but i believe an unsigned markstrom
does not count as a nuck goalie exposure for expansion purposes
they still have to expose a goalie
so if seattle does not sign an ufa markstrom
who would the nucks expose for that draft?
