  1. I was 9 when they entered. I had to google all the failed names. San Francisco Seals 1961–1966 (WHL) California Seals 1966–1967 (WHL) California Seals 1967 (NHL) Oakland Seals 1967–1970 (NHL) Bay Area Seals 1970 (NHL) California Golden Seals 1970–1976 (NHL) Cleveland Barons 1976–1978 (NHL)
  2. My first pair of Tacks (skates) I sanded the sides to make them look old. The more experienced look don’t you know. 13 years old
  3. Yes they have been. Like I posted earlier. Pocklingtons Gretzky deal involved cash /players as well as a rare hockey card collection going back to pocklington. Truth.
  4. A backup plan that would only compound the problem. Once everyone says trade me. Maybe that was their stealth tank move all along.
  5. As it stands were 5 pts up on the sharks and could go to seven or with a loss only 3pts if Calgary loses against minny to nite and we win we would be tied with Calgary. GCG.
  6. My point was the nhl deal , MLSE and the possible conflict ,bias , favouritism call it what you want. Doesn’t change the fact for me as to whether or not it’s a shared ownership group or solely. The fact is their all under the same umbrella.
  7. The 2 prior seasons before the 94 run also saw bure getting back to back 60 goal seasons. Albeit 84 game seasons. There was also a conference playoff format change a year or so before the 94 run that somehow altered the pts they were averaging at the time. I can’t remember how that went but there was no doubt the trajectory path they were on that the end result would take the to the 94 series. It most certainly wasn’t a one and done lucky to get there team. However after that run the team did start to diminish almost like a huge collective sigh of ‘well we gave it all we had’ for a few years , And they did! Calgary at the time was no small feat getting by them. Some even said those division finals against them were by far better hockey than any other series combinations possible.
  8. Him and studs work out and everybody lives happily ever after. it’s almost Christmas but your right he hasn’t been too bad of late.
  9. Boeser/garland/kuz is my guess. As to who moves out , all being the lesser negative impact. They’ll either deal for exp contract or a needed dman. If Bo has to go then wouldn’t that suite your preference of draft pics/prospects? As for bear the guy really wants to be here and at worst he plays without a contract briefly but I doubt that. They’ll find a way. This year undoubtedly being the hardest years to fit everything in. All the moves leading up to bears acquisition i thought was quite creative and I’ll credit Jr for that. although some credit has to go to brind’amour with his admiration for bear. Because if it weren’t for their own cap restraints he’d still be there.
  10. Incremental changes happen out of availability or someone wants out etc. I don’t get the grip ‘that’s a win now move’ or that’s sacrificing future comments. There’s no more of a guarantee standing pat then there is taking a chance making a peripheral move. That said I expect one of boeser/garland (for an expiring contract) to shipped out soon since the impact , fallout out weighs the necessity of shoring up the back end or reupping horvat. Win now , move for the future they can call it what they want. The winds of change are stirin.
  11. I read earlier he’s way up north if you follow Buffalo air. Their in serious trouble almost bankrupt cookin the books mechanic failure near mis accidents Ya he needs to stay put.
  12. Ya I don’t get the win now take , teams always strive for improvement.
  13. Bears acquisition coincided with a need to replace Hughes getting injured it also coincided with bears desire/availability to come here. The need to shore up the backend was there all along. Whether it was a win now move is a moot point. They needed him regardless
  14. Theres been perifaral/place holder moves which are meh. These only provide him the time needed for other moves hopefully to address to glaring problem on the back end. Like you said the forward group look not to bad. But securing horvat outweighs keeping boeser/kozmenko/garland. These types aren’t that hard to replace.
