How about half? weve lost more then half our games, have just nine R or ot wins combined in 25 games (four against Detroit and la) You need to WIN half your games to make the playoffs in this league. we are right now on pace for 37-38 wins. Not good enough. we are beyond lucky the division were in because the teams who were supposed to be great in our division have been average or worse the flames knights sharks etc also being on the road is never an excuse for a loss.. we could literally go undefeated at home and if we lose all our road games we still probably miss the playoffs. Gotta win those especially against non playoff teams

Lol, nah. (About players trying to get green fired tonight) I agree with you though about no excuse, I think they were just flat outplayed. The flyers were hungry. For playing to get green fired, the team wouldn’t just do that after two wins randomly. Babcock was in the dog house for a lloooooong time, greens not really even close to being there even though episode are now slowly starting to turn on him. And Toronto has beaten two teams, one being Arizona (I know they have a decent record but Arizona is Arizona) we don’t know if this will work for he leafs yet. Tomorrow they get the easiest team in the league so they’ll probably go 3-0 but after that I’ll be interested to see how the leafs do?

Uhhh. why would the hockey writers brag about a team that hasn’t won a playoff series since May 2011 and has played in one playoff series in the last going on seven years, and it was five seasons ago in A Loss. weve had four different coaches in that time. You can brag about the Canucks all you want but even this year we’ve lost more then we’ve won, id rather brag when we got something to brag about or else it’s silly.

Lol, seriously though.... i mean I get people ripping on green, but these guys effort levels is on them too. They’re the ones payed millions of dollArs. Coaches are responsible for strategies in gme adjustments, tweaks and line control. Yes motivation can be apart of it but they know to be motivated by now. No one goes into a game anymore in today’s NHL and says go temselves “we don’t have to try tonight.”

You think these guys who have had the last couple of days to prepare for the game and we’re in video room meetings and tons of other in ice in room meetings didn’t know not to take them lightly? you think they just arrive st the game and go “oh let’s just take this team lightly but if our coach tells us not too, we won’t! “ How do we even know if were better then philly? They’ve finished higher then us in the standings and absolutely dominted is today regardless of the score. So even if we “didn’t take them lightly” as you’re suggesting we did who knows. the Canucks seem to have problems in their eastern road trips or metro teams in general or Teams witja. Specific style.

Pathetic offensive effort. If we don’t get offense from our d were not going to make the playoffs. I love Hughes but he’s 19 and can’t bring it all. We really don’t have another offensive dman, edler but he’s out and older. People can say Myers but he put up points in high scoring teams sure in a depth role, when relied on as a top guy here I’m not sure the offense is going to be the same, case in point with 0 4 in 25. I know I rip on him a lot but when we see 17 shots and one goal efforts it screams. WhAt also screams is look Phillips Myers for them in the back end has how many goals. 4,5,6 I don’t even know? And what does he make? T Myers should try and get one or for god sakes he hasn’t had a point in at least a dozen games, always misses the net. This would be dissaoointing but the fact he makes six million makes it beyond a headache. ok I’ll try t say that stuff less but it’s really irritating me because no one else is saying it. little concerning now we have just 9 wins in overtime and regulation combined this season in 25 games. Three in a shootout which doesent count the same in a tiebreaker situation and 12 in 25, with four of those 9 against Detroit and la. If the teams who were supposed to be good innour division were playing better like San Jose Vegas and Calgary we would be buried we need to bring in a pp quarterback for the PP at the deadline. How? If Eriksson is waved then we gotta waive Myers. myers has been a somewhat effective pker he brings nothing else to the table. That sounds a lot like Eriksson to me and the catch? They both make six million. Myers is a liability he misses the net 6/7 times a game is on pace after 23 games for 0 goals and 15 assists with a -10 rating and gives the puck away 24/6 while taking costly penalties. my point? You can’t wave everyone witha a bad contraCt. if your GM is dumb enough to overpay guys you gotta cross your fingers like Dubas does

Not a big fan of shootout wins, this and our win over St. Louis would of been ties in the old NHL but who cares this is the new NHL! Proud of the effort. cant say I’m as optimistic of Or chances with edler out if he misses time. What myers lacks and he does a lot edler can make up for so that’s why it’s a decent pairing but with him out, if it’s extended ouch. But I’ll just be happy with the win. I don’t know if it was the matinee but The caps played so bad today, Ovechkin looked like he didn’t even care even when he had scoring chances. Hughes at 19 is ten times the player Myers is. Your first line is absolutely not even close to correct, I’m not trying to be rude either.

THATS the only thing he has is the reach (these days) but because of that reach he also takes boneheaded penalties because he will cheat on plays. You be glass half full, when your paying a guy six million you deserve more. I’m calling it like it is. Now with edler out Myers is going to be even more exposed. Anyone who had watched the last ten games and thinks myers is a good Dman I question what they’ve watched. Remember that play that lead to a 3 on 0 against St. Louis where we lost or the fact he gave ror a breakaway with a min to go in the third ? You can’t bame two better plays that negate those two or even one.

I hear what you’re saying but the problem is elite players like Petterson can’t have every call go their way or we would have twenty power plays a game. This happens to every elite star in also a sabres fan and Eichel draws what would be 20 powerplays a game by the refs cal it maybe only a couple times. Is it fair? No. But At least it’s that way for all stars. We’re not the only team not getting missed calls, infact thirty other teams get less then we do as I said. You can say we earned them all. Thats not true, to suggest we haven’t had one powerplays this year that wasn’t a questionable call is pretty biased to an insane level we were almost 25 games into the year and there’s usually at least one questionable one almost every game for both teams. i shouldn’t of talked about the victim complex though

I had everyone and their mother tell me I was going to be wrong. Even though I’m the one who’s watched the guy 300 times before he came here. if you like watching the awkward slug who never uses his size takes atrocious penalties misses the net, creates zero offense, gives the puck away non stop and is on pace for zero goals and 15 assists by seasons end at 6 million be by guest. Get off it we have had four power plays and a 2 man advantage, Myers took a lazy penalty no one in the NHL has had more powerplays then Vancouver yet we still have complaints about officials with a victim complex

We need JB to get one or two better dmen, particularly one offensive and one defensive. Eriksson Myers and luongo take up fifteen million and have produced like five points. Lol but luongo isn’t JBs issue.

Myers and edler haven’t been “holding the fort though”. They’ve been pretty terrible. Edler has had some decent games but myers has been atrocious. I get that your an optimist but any team with that as the top d pairing isn’t making the playoffs let alone being a cup contender. I mean seriously.....can you name even two things myers has done well this year? Hell how about even one? Because I can list seven things right now he’s done awful.

I would suggest our play fell off more because we started Playing better teams more regularly then losing those couple of depth players

There seem to be less great teams. I mean how many teams can you say are truly great. boston Washington St. Louis ....of course Colorado and A few others could be argued, Im talking about elite Tampa bay too but they’ve been average this season
