  1. Lots of player turnover and 3rd system/coach in 3 years...it's gonna be next season before Tocc has everyone on the same page.
  2. After his rookie year he has only once played over 60 games {5 seasons not including the bubble year}...this looks like a younger version of the OEL deal . IF he get healthy it's a bargain but that's a huge gamble the way his career has gone.
  3. When is the last time we had a RHD top 4 PP with a boomer shot and good assist numbers? Yannick Weber's best year in 2014/15? or Sami Salo in his heydays 2010/11ish? These guys are even harder to get with a 32 team league. He seems to have worked through the growing pains of most young Dmen and with Gonchar mentoring I think this could be a home run. Most Dmen don't figure it out until the 25-27yr range anyway so that's why we paid so much.
  4. Every team including ours cheats on the change at the end of the bench. The league doesn't call it too tight to get more scoring. So long as everyone gets the same leeway I think it's the defenders job to be aware and get back.
  5. He bulked up after that nasty back injury. I agree he needs to change his training and focus on core strenght and speed.
  6. I think he was a natural center before his NHL time but at 5'8" 180lbs he loses too many board battles.
  7. He took a nasty puck to the face in 2018 {eye} and had a long recovery time. I love fiery players but some guys have to really pick their spots.
  8. He did miss the Cv19 bubble year, I haven't seen exactly why though, if it was by choice or illness. edit:" Due to the COVID-19 pandemic canceling the 2020-21 OHL season, Bloom, 18, did not play at all last year. "I took advantage of the time I was given during quarantine to get in the gym and on the ice," Bloom said." Dunno if he even had an option to play elsewhere but losing a year of development for all those young players is a bit of a question mark.
  9. If this were a playoff chase game that really mattered he might have soldiered on but in this circumstance no reason to risk further injury. Didn't he have a bit of concussion trouble a while back?...I forget.
