  1. Following our run to the Stanley Cup Final, the Detroit Red Wings are looking to make changes to their lineup to ensure that this team can take that final step and go one better next season. Any team looking to make moves is encouraged to discuss options with us - while there are some players who will categorically not be moving, we are willing to listen on some players that may previously have been considered life-long Red Wings. We are also willing to part with our 2020 1st round draft pick, and our 2021 picks, to improve the team. We will also be listening to offers for the UFA rights to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Richard Panik and Chad Ruhwedel. It's now up to 30 GMs to ensure that @Sergei Bobrovsky and his Nashville Predators do not repeat as GML Champions next season - I wish every GM a huge amount of luck over the off-season and next season.
  2. Congratulations on your maiden GML Stanley Cup @Sergei Bobrovsky Many teams over the years have stockpiled Tampa players; none ever really saw it pay off, then gave up and changed approach. Kudos for keeping the faith and building a GML team around the best players on the best NHL team! As for me, back to the drawing board. I wonder if Pat Maroon is a UFA this summer
  3. Rights to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins are available. Prospect preferred to picks.
  4. It's actually @Patnat96 up. Traded him the pick for a box of medium sized disposable gloves and two kilos of self-raising flour.
  5. Factors you could consider: - Team success - Team improvement vs last year - Best trades - Most handsome - Closest geographical proximity to you - GM who you've had a decade-long, productive relationship with - Teams that rhyme with Schmottawa Hope that helps.
  6. Close the thread, we ain't topping that.
  7. Have no fear young Theo, I have @Sergei Bobrovsky right where I want him...
  8. Dude I liked the original post, what more can a guy do Detroit is, of course, active and planning to bolster its lineup to go one better next season.
  9. Who are you and what have you done with Bomba
  10. No, you're right. Too many people are disrespecting Mattias Janmark and Blake Coleman
  11. I'd like to thank @Mike Vanderhoek and his NJD for a closely-contested series, and to congratulate @Sergei Bobrovsky on his impending GML Stanley Cup Final victory
  12. Provisional list from me, may change before the draft depending on IRL trades: Goalie: Connor Hellebuyck 1 Jaccob Slavin 2 Cale Makar 3 Ryan Ellis 4 Drew Doughty 5 Chris Kreider 6 Anders Lee 7 Jason Zucker 8 Patrik Laine 9 JT Miller 10 Teuvo Teravainen 11 Viktor Arvidsson 12 Dylan Strome Congrats on your fine win @Baer.
  13. You seem to have forgotten you already cast your vote CS
  14. DETROIT RED WINGS - UPDATED PLAYOFF ROSTER Anthony Beauvillier - Brock Nelson - Blake Coleman William Carrier - Chandler Stephenson - Matthias Janmark Braydon Coburn - Gavin Bayreuther This is going to be a VERY close matchup, and if we lose, at least we lost to Mike's powerhouse NJ Devils. With this round and the Stanley Cup Final, if the Islanders top the Lightning, I fancy my chances - but if the Bolts win, I can see Sergei Bobrovsky being crowned GML Champion! Who cares really, as long as Dallas win the West.
  15. Predictions: NJD vs DET = NJD WPG vs NSH = NSH
  16. @canuck2xtreme Just a note to say that on my my 'rosters' tab, Dylan Strome should be listed as $3.5m rather than $2.5m (he had $1m retained last season). Thanks
  17. The same was once said of Alex Edler by Canucks fans :/
  18. The majority of Canes Nation is saying no to this rumor, because they want Markstrom if possible and if not, make a run at Lehner. Both are going to be $6m+ on the open market but Carolina would be an attractive move for both you'd think. Would leave the Canes with the issue of having $6.5m already tied up in Reimer + Mrazek for the coming season, and they also have Nedeljkovic in the AHL who they really want to give some NHL time to. Any move to bring in another goalie would free him up as a trade chip, although at 24 his value has diminished. Necas is exempt from the Expansion Draft; outside of Aho, Svechnikov, Teravainen and Staal (NMC), the only forwards worth losing sleep over are Trocheck, Dzingel, Foegele and Geekie. If I'm Carolina, I'm offering Seattle a prospect like Joey Keane or Dominik Bokk, and giving them Jake Gardiner or Nino Niederreiter's contract.
  19. I was looking forward to a Detroit-Winnipeg final with a dozen Canucks deciding who wins. Slim chance now but it's nice to dream
  20. You fail me yet again, Starscream
