Demko is proof an all star tender can change a whole team. You need an all star goalie or a hot goalie to win a cup.

Either one goalie holding the fort by standing on his head, or a strong defense in front of a good goalie (I'm not of the belief that you can score your way out of your team's defensive woes, unless you had Pittsburgh Penguins prime Crosby and Malkin, though Murray was pretty good during his run with them).
