I think what's more alarming this year is zero dominant games from Pettersson. People have to be concerned about that. We are 19 games in. Not one game. Nevermind game. Can anyone tell me a dominant period this year where you thought Pettersson was amazing that period? I can't remember one which is even more concerning.

He needed to get the puck out, that is why it was one him. He was trying to rush it up the boards. So yes it was initially his fault, plus he didn't take anyone in the defensive zone. No one really did but he needed to get it out.

That's why Virtanen is not ever going to be more than a third/forth liner. He doesn't have the hockey smarts you need.

Three lost draws on the pp is not going to help.

Our powerplay is still terrible. The numbers are terrible this year. Part of the reason we have lost so many games.

Man Horvat has been terrible so far on faceoffs.

Again no urgency is killing us on powerplays. Always been a problem. They play like they are on the powerplay the whole game and can just coast.

Notice how it’s all the veterans making mistakes. Will they get benched? No.

No pp points from the second unit this year. Lack of depth apparent.

our stars this year. 18 games in and still nothing. Every other team it seems has. It’s very frustrating.

I think Virtanen has checked out. He sees the writing on the wall and that his future isn’t in Vancouver. Weird when Vancouver was his team growing up. You would think he would give it his all every shift. So complacent.

If they don’t score you just know Calgary is going to come out hard in the second period. They have not had a good period.

Ya. I think they get impressed by the shot total but you need to get some greasy goals here. I am not sure our team is built that way though.
