Did you watch the playoffs? Go over the stats. The bottom six couldnt score and there isnt anyone who is taking care of anyone on the team. No one is scared of our bottom six. Vegas was laughing at our team. No respect there. I dont get where you saw our stars being protected.

The lack of cap space is the amount we pay spent on bottom six forwards. Thats on Benning. The money is not well spent.

Yes but what does he have to trade or give up? I dont get how everyine thinks we just can trade. Trade what? More prospects to leave our cupboard even more bare. There really is no direction with this franchise and I feel it starts at the top with the aqullinis. We cant keep trading our picks away for mediocre help now. I honestly just want a sound hockey mind to come in and be GM. We need leadership at the top who have a direct plan and not move all over the place. Benning is not that guy.

The biggest issue I have is that we throw away picks and prospects for nothing. That’s Madden and a second for nothing. When you aren’t elite you can’t afford to do that. Benning isn’t held accountable either so that’s a problem. It’s scary to think he might make more trades.

What assets do we have to trade? Anything we trade is going to put us back. It’s a complete mess right now. Everyone is forgetting that he just got Toffoli for Madden and a second rounder. So LA got them for free. That’s is inexcusable.

No. He’s Mr. excuses. Benning needs to go. Now he’s going to overpay in a trade. Trade assets we can’t afford to trade. It’s a complete joke.

Ya, but shouldn’t Benning be held accountable? It’s almost like it’s ok he put us in this position and he just gets to continue his ways. I am out of patience when it comes to Benning. It should never be one step forward two steps back. It’s a bad recipe for a franchise that wants to win a cup. They still need two defenseman, a forward, a power forward and some better players in the bottom lines that can contribute. Six years and counting! So what is the timeline for the Stanley cup now?

I know we are strapped by the cap but it always seems as though we are never in on big deals or big free agents and when we are we overpay or give up too much. Las Vegas for example seems to have no problem at all making trades or signing big name players. It just gets frustrating to hear excuse after excuse we have no money. That tells me Benning doesn’t know how to manage the cap. Remember when Benning said this “We are in a good position, where free agents want to come here.” Well where are they? Lol. He got one free agent to come here. One more thing, I have heard how we can trade but honestly what assets do we have to trade? We really don’t have an abundance of prospects or assets like Tampa Bay has to be trading. So I don’t see that avenue unless I am missing something. I don’t want them to give up Rathbone for an older player. I just think they are screwed because they have spent the most in the league on their bottom two lines 23 million. It’s insane and it has put us in a spot where their hands are tied but that is on the GM. It’s 6 years with Benning at the helm and we took a big step forward but now are going to take a step back. It doesn’t make sense. How many more years does Benning get? That’s a long time for a GM. They are honestly talking about Virtanen and Baertchi that’s how bad it is. I just don’t think there is a quick fix for this year so that’s what makes it disappointing. Thoughts anyone? As I wrote this Toffoli is gone. You can’t sign your own free agents and you have assets for nothing. 17 games. Wow!

Our bottom six has one of the worst money spent on it and it doesn't get the production it needs. It is what is really hurting this team right now. Its so slow and old and offer nothing.

Do we resign Markstrom after Demko's performance? I think hes ready for the big show and we can save money and spend it somewhere to upgrade. He's 24, another big factor. I love Markstrom but this really might have changed things.

They need to add speed to the bottom two lines, maybe even someone with speed on the top line. Depth scoring was awful and the power play was stagnant. Get rid of some of these slower, older guys. I hope we see more urgency on it. A coach that teaches that it can change a game. It just seemed sometimes they would meander down into the zone. Need a change there. I do believe Edler should not be in the top four anymore. Tired and slow. Someone needs to step up and grab that spot. Hello Rathbone!

Our power play was just awful this series. They lack urgency on their pp.They always look like they have ten min power plays out there and that if they score they score but we don't have to really push play on it. That is where I would like to see things change.

Shutout three out of seven games says enough about this team depth. If the top two lines weren't scoring. We weren't going to win the series. You need four lines.Check the stats. There are so many zeros and low numbers in these playoffs by depth players. Great season for where this team is at.

Love the win. Our defense does need to be revamped in the off season. Personally I just don't think our defense is tough enough. Teams are just willing to take it to the net because there is no one there to punish them. You need to have that balance. Brent burns would look good or Webber. A player like Muzzin.

48 shots is beer league defense and that doesn't bother Green. Its gross.

Why does it seem like the points are always wide open for the other team? Its ridiculous. No pressure at all. They all collapse towards the goalie.

Instead of being mad at the refs. How about being mad at yourselves for having the lead three times and not keeping it.

Reffing has been terrible as well.
We have lost 5 of our last 6. We could be 6 of our last 7. Our team should be as desperate or more. It just seems like they don't have the calmness to get that extra goal when they are up. It just shows where we are mentally right now. WEAK.

Nothing was confirmed that we offered him 5 million. That's speculation but 2021 was basically a wasted year and in a lot of ways set us back when we traded for Toffoli. It always seems they have looked for quick fixes. This way of thinking has in fact put them even farther back.
