Yeah and he made some good decisions too and his results were the best in franchise history.. Saying he gave nothing back is crazy, that was the best Canucks hockey we've ever seen in our lives. You can post about it if you want I'm just telling you it looks a bit crazy to be complaining about a GM from 8 years ago and who got us 1 win away from a cup.

Man this is like being crazy over an ex-girlfriend. It's been nearly a decade since Gillis was around. Time to move on, there's been plenty enough time to reverse any damage Gillis did. And when anyone complains about Gillis it's quite easy to respond with.... We were literally one game away from building a Mike Gillis statue outside the arena. Stop it

Is This Core Really That Bad? No, I don't think so.

And some bigger forwards and some forwards that can score, and some faster forwards, and a 2nd round pick for this year would be nice and some more prospects. So basically we need everything -
That kid is a natural leader just like his brother... Assistant captain at age 20. Joined the league as an 18 year old and has dominated ever since with absolutely zero evidence that he is a crap dude. Not sure where you are getting this from If they didn't interview a kid who was right around where they picked then it's just another failure on the list for Benning and crew.

Someone pointed out earlier that we have the most expensive D-core in the league. Don't know if it's true but if it is...that's crazy. -

Does Myers - Boeser for Zacha - Severson make sense? -

I'm mainly agreeing with you, it's just they also generate so many shots because fast skill players can whip the puck around and make the system work better. The top teams all have boat loads of skilled player not just a great coach. Boudreau is a very good coach we just aren't nearly as skilled as most teams Also, Matthews and Marner were pulling off individual efforts all night. Matthews is an absolute machine as much as I hate to admit it -

It is kind of tough to watch two struggling/learning rookies being glued to Petey especially when he himself is struggling. Hogger has 16 points and Podz has 12 and we're supposed to beat a team with guys like Nylander and Tavares on their second lines. -

The Leafs also move the puck well because they are fast and highly skilled, it's not their offensive system that makes Matthews an offensive shooting machine and gives Marner the ability to handle the puck on a string. -

We're second in the league in powerplay opportunities per game.
