Ring of Honour, no doubt. Retired jersey? No. I think people need to realise that retired numbers are for the GREATS... I would even argue that Naslund shouldn't have been retired, but that's a moot point. Daniel and Henrik will be retired, but that's about it for that generation of player. I could even see Hansen getting into the ROH once his career is done. 10 years of service isn't something to scoff at.

Agreed. This is the alarming part. I was hoping he would go down and work on his positioning and using his size. He has all the tools to be an impact player, but it seems he will need more time to put it all together.

I was being sarcastic. You're completely right. I've thought about it, looked into it and have come to realize and accept that there is a bias. No, I don't own a tinfoil hat. Like you said, it's about money and entertainment. There has always been a bias against Canadian teams in the big 3 (Baseball, Hockey, Basketball). I don't watch enough MLS to be sure, but I'll assume it exists there too. If there was a Canadian NFL team, I'd bet there would be a bias there as well.

I would tend to agree, Walt. Blackhawks and Chiefs are one thing, Redskins, Indians and Braves are slightly more racial. It's 2016, and probably time we started to get away from the racial names in sports. This isn't the 50's and 60's where racial stereotypes are the norm. We're living in an increasingly PC society, where classism and racism have taken a whole new turn for the worst. I'm sure they can afford to rebrand their teams, which would only lead to an influx of revenue (ie: new fan swag)

With the game on the line, I don't think anyone plays as hard as JD. Love the additions of JD, RM, and TT. Tough, talented winners. Love it.

Makes you wonder what the Sox will do with him if they fail to advance. That's a ton of money tied up in one pitcher that cannot put it together when it really matters.
