  1. Man, you are are missing the point. You seem to be blind to what these anti vaxxers are doing and instead coming on here to criticize some comments of long time posters here made out of frustration.
  2. So you would rather hang with these guys? https://bc.ctvnews.ca/anti-vaccine-protest-featuring-effigies-of-b-c-politicians-slammed-as-disturbing-offensive-1.5706186
  3. Couldn’t have said this better myself. Thanks
  4. So what does that prove? The numbers weren't wrong way back last February when we started vaccinating the population. You think that the CDC had Marty Mcfly and the Doc working for them so they can travel to the future in their delorean to find out what other variants we will be seeing and how effective these vaccines will be? Do you go to Mark Madryga's house and protest every time he predicts sunshine and we get a few clouds? Your attempts at discrediting Vaccines are becoming comical. Go do your part and get vaccinated. I got my booster tonight not because I have to listen to the government but because its the right thing to do.
  5. Dr. Bonnie did not say we will all get it. She said that we will most likely all come in contact with it. Doesn't mean that you will be infected. I believe the test positivity rate was running about 25% the majority of which are exhibiting some symptoms. That still means that someone with cold like symptoms have a 75% chance of not having Covid. I think the reason why she said to assume we have it and stay home if we get symptoms is because of our limited testing capacity. The airports and borders are under Federal jurisdiction so that may be why the testing may not make sense for BC.
  6. Yep. He even said it was my lucky day!
  7. You seem to only want to read what fits your narrative and ignore the important parts. I was fully expecting to get my booster and possibly subsequent shots afterwards even before I got my second shot. I suggest you read and understand this subject more thoroughly before posting stuff on here. But my suspicion is you have your mind set and are desperately trying to prove your narrative by throwing out all sorts of misleading posts
  8. yep, sometimes the testing protocol makes no sense. before the recent restrictions due to Omricron, I went down to Blaine to pick up my package from the mailbox. Was only down there for like 5 minutes and did not come in contact with anyone. Back through the border, I was chosen for a "Random" PCR test that had to be done within 24 hours. Of course, came back negative
  9. You are correct. Your take is super unpopular here and in the minds of the majority. You are in no position to make the claim that Covid isn't serious and not to be taken lightly (as you are insinuating) You have no qualifications to make any of your claims and the 5 million people in the world that have already lost their lives would think otherwise. Your statements are basically giving a big middle finger to the frontline workers that are burnt out having to keep their patients alive. Imagine working long hours risking getting the Virus and taking abuse by some of the a-hole protestors and then when one of your patient dies, having to break the news to their family. Your attitude to this virus is a prime example of why our hospitals filling up and why many people can't get their surgeries. You say we are living in fear of the virus. I can equally say you are living in fear of government control which is the common theme amongst anti vaxxers. Your views make zero sense claiming that governments somehow got together to get rich over this virus. Stupidity has no bounds it seems.
  10. That link that he posted (well at least he posted some sort of link) comes from a rag in Washington State that seems to have some bias with regards to Vaccination measures. Why people on here continue to ignore peer reviewed info from credible sources just blows my mind.
  11. protection from infection and protection from severe illness are two different things. And also this: This article is a preprint and has not been peer-reviewed [what does this mean?]. It reports new medical research that has yet to be evaluated and so should not be used to guide clinical practice.
  12. most here have read that you are fully vaxxed. Some of us don't necessarily agree with you on how the unvaccinated should be handled. How you can construe that as accusing you of being an antivaxxer is beyond me. I agree, some of us are just "pushing their thoughts" kind of like when someone said "I believe that natural immunity is better than immunity from vaccines" even though they have nothing to back this up nor are they qualified to make that claim.
  13. I don't get it. It seems that common sense is literally thrown out the window for some. I'm also shocked at the sympathy that some have given to the Antivaxxers some of which have made death threats or at the very least have participated in protests in front of hospitals effectively giving the middle finger to those that are trying to save our lives. Its a mad world we live in.
  14. Just a quick suggestion. Listen to the Medical experts. Your opinions don't really matter if your Son is in an ICU with COVID
  15. Well the 3.9 Billion that are fully vaccinated thinks that it was worthwhile
  16. Nope MSP does not at the moment. But these are unprecedented times no? Pretty sure they are the ones choosing who lives or dies. Again, I'm hoping we don't get to that point where we have to start denying coverage for the unvaccinated. But really what else do we do? If the hospital beds are taken up by some antivaxxers who had exercised their freedumb rights and your close family member gets into an unfortunate accident and requires emergency surgery but can't get it then what would your feelings be then?
  17. Insurance, medical or otherwise doesn't work that way. If I was denied coverage on a claim because of some clause on my insurance, I can't ask for reimbursement of all my previous premiums that I paid. Also its not really correct to bring up obesity, smoking etc.. because our medical system and insurance is designed to cover those things. It is not designed to cover costs and resources associated with a pandemic and those who choose not to get vaxxed. Similarly, many insurance companies won't insure flood claims if you choose to live on a flood plain. Condo buildings that don't have functioning sprinkler systems will be denied coverage if damage from a fire occurs. See the connection here? No, I don't agree with physical force as a means to mandate vaccinations but there should be consequences and costs associated with your choice not to vaccinate.
  18. Well, I suppose there is some justice in this world: https://montreal.ctvnews.ca/sunwing-party-plane-passengers-fired-facing-other-repercussions-at-home-1.5731519?cid=sm%3Atrueanthem%3Actvnews%3Apost&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A Trending Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR1RRCrc43c6Hxpm8dlVFgcTTG5_IPZkUz3vnX1jRVKaq8drIEGkVaCMy6E
  19. Auditioning for the next Batman movie?
  20. For a couple of posters on here, I think it comes down to either: 1. Just being a Troll 2. Lack of Common Sense and or Critical Thinking Skills Either way its just Verbal Diarrhea that we should all ignore
  21. problem is you are really only working out one arm
  22. I wanted to post a reply to that post but it would be 5 minutes of my time wasted and could never get back
  23. Frankly I don’t really know why I waste my time explaining this to you, the virus is being spread by both but most of the ones taking up a hospital bed are the unvaxxed. The measures are in place to minimize hospitalizations among the unvaxxed. They are not so worried about the vaxxed (except for the elderly and vulnerable population). I wish we could adopt Alf’s idea of only allowing treatment in hospitals for the vaxxed. That way the unvaxxed can take their own precautions or not. Their choice.
  24. Even Dr. Henry has mentioned that given this variant is milder, it may lead us out of the pandemic and into an endemic phase. Our vaccines will protect us if we do get infected and the risk from more variants would be coming from the unvaccinated. Hence vaccinations are still going to be essential going forward and the sooner we get the rest of the world caught up with vaccinations, the better.
