  1. I think when you are only allowed out to pick up essentials and there is a curfew imposed
  2. Found this from another forum: https://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/selected-deaths-vs-covid-19-canada Interesting results when you change it from Canada to the US.
  3. Sadly though, many in the unvaxxed crowd are also the ones that are not following the health recommendations, practicing good sanitation and hygiene practices. I'm not saying all are like that but many anti vaxxers are also covid deniers.
  4. I fully expect the Aquilinis to require full vaccinations in order to enter Rogers. Not sure what that will mean for 12 and under.
  5. At this point he is looking more and more like a troll.
  6. FFS, that doctor did not say Delta was not serious. He said it was not serious for those that are vaccinated. That was the whole premise of his video. Indonesia has only 9.7% with one dose and 8.5% fully vaxxed which explains the high death rates. get vaccinated.
  7. This is the COVID thread where we discuss everything COVID related. I did not make any references to any of your posts when I posted that video. It was just for info to the group. It had nothing to do with Long term COVID vaccine effects but this thread isn’t called the “Long term COVID vaccine effects thread” is called the Coronaviirus Thread”
  8. Thank God my Tech Conference for my CPA Association is still virtual. While I miss the really nice lunches and swag, I would rather not be with a lot of people indoors right now.
  9. Not sure what exactly you are asking. I have no concerns with the Long term effects of the Vaccine. I have been double vaxxed now for a month. I do know that I still stand a chance at getting Covid and having long term effects from it. But being fully vaxxed provides me a safety net and combined with my mask wearing and overall caution, I feel safe. I posted the video for info. I did not provide my comments. I did not say I agreed with everything the doctor said. He is also from the US where you can and could have gotten fully vaxxed much earlier. We still have some young people that are waiting for their second dose so I don't agree with opening everything up fully. Look you have made it clear that you have an issue with how these vaccines are fast tracked. No need to beat a dead horse. This is your opinion and you have no scientific basis to conclude that this is the case. Others have posted about how the process of testing took place and that it wasn't necessarily rushed. None of these people are expressing their opinions or gut feelings. They are giving you facts.
  10. People that are worried about long term effects don't really understand how modern vaccines work. You are more likely to get long term health issues from eating too much tuna than what the vaccines will give you. But even if you feel the way you do, what is the alternative to not taking them? Posters come on here all the time complaining about restrictions causing depression, vaccines that they think are not thoroughly tested and yet none have provided any viable solutions. Can you imagine if we didn't have any vaccines ready? With these variants circulating? If you think the restrictions were tough before, I'd hate to see what they would be if there were no vaccines available.
  11. It’s maddening how different the rules are with each province.
  12. Wow sounded like there was a real S%$t show happening there.
  13. Edit, increased restrictions applicable to Interior Health
  14. Looks like they are re instating some of the restrictions
  15. People and workers want to feel safe. Vaccine passports won't affect businesses at all. In fact it will be the exact opposite. Personally I have lessened my trips to restaurants because of unvaccinated patrons.
  16. "And if vaccinated people get infected anyway, they have as much virus in their bodies as unvaccinated people. That means they're as likely to infect someone else as unvaccinated people who get infected." but in the same article: "It says vaccines reduce the risk of severe disease or death 10-fold and reduce the risk of infection three-fold." So if the risk of infection in a vaccinated person is reduced by Three fold, doesn't it mean that the vaccinated are less likely to be infected and then infect others? So what exactly is the issue here? So the conclusion is, in General, the Vaxxed are less likely to spread Covid because they are less likely to get infected in the first place.
  17. Vaxxed are less likely to spread it. The end game is get Covid to the point where it becomes endemic. Where the chances of any Vaxxed person getting infected and spreading it is extremely small. But that won't happen if there is still a large segment that remain unvaxxed. New variants pop up. Both vaxxed and unvaxxed would still be spreading it. Your solution of "letting people make their own choice" will keep prolonging this.
  18. You seem to forget that there is still a large segment of the population that aren't eligible for vaccines. And yes young children can get infected and have unfortunate outcomes. I don't want to get Covid, period. Don't care that I'm vaxxed. Don't want it. So I have every right not to have to deal with the unvaxxed. Get a vax or not. Dont care. Just get the hell away from me. I have that right. Just like I have a right not to inhale second hand smoke and we now have laws for that.
  19. Debunked. No, COVID-19 Vaccines Do Not Cause New Coronavirus Variants (healthline.com) Quoting peer reviewed studies that are not relevant to the virus we are dealing with is irresponsible and fueling the anti vax cause. Please get vaccinated and do your part.
  20. We qualified for the men’s 4x100! The Americans didn’t!
  21. Need to be careful with how you interpret those stats. Keep in mind that 70% of the UK population (not just eligible) are vaccinated with at least one dose. The fact that only 41% of those infected were vaccinated means that the vaccines are working. Also note that the death rate is also skewed because the unvaccinated tend to be the younger crowd and are less likely to succumb to being infected.
  22. Have a look at this link: https://www.paho.org/en/topics/immunization/debunking-immunization-myths I don't know about you, but I'd rather believe info from the source above then random twitter posts.
  23. You were politely asked to come up with solutions other than with vaccines. People that come in here and start criticizing other's views without backing things up will get this response from others.
