What a game today! This has been awesome!

He's been a physical force in this game! Really hammering the US.

From what I understand, reading in past about other goalies that have had the same surgery, they have better flexibility and mobility after they have recovered. Really impressed by what we're seeing of him in this game, facing a really high powered, Canadian attack.

So, does he still need hip surgery at the end of the season??? Not seeing any holes in his game!

First time I've really had a chance to get a look at Demko, this kid is awesome! He's the only reason that its only 2 - 0 Canada right now.

Or, next kid the fans run out of town and goes on to be a big star somewhere else?

This game finishing 1 - 0 for Canada, with Virtanen scoring the winning goal and Demko stopping 40 shots, would be just about perfect IMO!

Love how physical he is. Hits pretty much everything that moves in a US Jersey!

Torn about this game. I want Canada and Virtanen to win, but I want Demko to do well and keep it close!

Love how this kid seems to be able to take 2 strides and be at top speed. Really great acceleration! Looking forward to seeing how he does in camp next year, playing with and against NHL players!

That was an incredible goal he scored. Really fast hands to pickup that rebound!

I think Hutton has been to some of the Canucks, summer prospect camps. Pretty good chance he would sign with the Canucks if he chooses to leave school. All the rest of the discussion is redundant though, unless he actually decides to leave and turn pro! I think it would be good for his development, better competition in AHL.

So, reviewing tonights stats, someone help me out here... Horvat assisted on 3 Canucks goals tonight, and the only goal Chicago scored was on power play. The rest of his line shows as plus 3 for the night, how can he possibly be only showing as plus 1?????

Its funny how players often come back from a long injury, seem to do really well for the first few games, then seem to hit a wall for a week or so, then suddenly come back to life and start producing again!

Unless we run into a bunch of injuries in the next couple of weeks, I have a feeling that Bo will be loaned to the WJC. I don't think they want to send him back to junior this year as. There's not a lot he can really learn, playing games against players where 80 - 90% of them will never play a game in the NHL. WJC is completely different. You have the top Junior players in the world, and you would expect that about 80% of the players in that tournament will, at some point, play in the NHL. That gives him a whole different range of competition, and in January, when we usually start dealing with injuries, they can just pull him back into the lineup. I could easily be wrong, but I think that's the general plan for him this year.

He doesn't look out of place. If he can get 10 min a night in Vancouver, and he can maintain his FO percentage, I'm guessing that he's here to stay!

His play to start the AHL season is pretty nuts! Its not like Eriksson's play has been bad or anything, just that he's letting a few goals in. Markstrom is completely lights out! If you're the other team, if Utica scores a goal on you with him in net, might as well hit the showers and get an early night lol

Agreed! The only way that Markstrom is recalled by Vancouver is if Lack has been traded. I can see that as a possibility, but I don't think there's anything imminent in next couple of months.
