  1. Just wanted to give a big F U to Francesco Aquilini... your buffoonery over the years has led to years of misery for us many loyal fans who have been passionately following this team.

      whats F U mean?

      Fudge and Unagi.

  2. By no means should we be panicking but I would say that the latest on EP is not a promising development for the team. Hopefully we start playing like a playoff team early into the year because we may have another BoHo situation (albiet with RFA protection) on our hands if we start off poorly.
  3. I personally think Miller is the best choice but he kinda shot himself in the foot last year at times. I'd pick Petey if I had to choose between Quinn and him... but I guess time will tell if Petey really wants to be here long term. Not sure why they haven't gotten him locked up to a long term extension yet. He is our most foundational piece.
  4. nux fans just bitter we didn't manage to do something similar with one of OEL, LE, Luongo...etc.
  5. I meant more from the players perspective but yes...that is certainly an upside from the teams perspective. NHL deals are all but guaranteed and if he has a significant injury he could seriously short change himself. Maybe he can insure for this in other ways however.
  6. Interesting if the new trend becomes short term bigger money deals. Think I'd rather get the guaranteed 8 at 12 than 3 at 13.5
  7. its a troll thread bump...he knew what he was doing....
  8. starting to get tired of these troll thread bumps... seems to me there used to be more common sense when it came to locking old threads.
  9. Jannik Hansen? I really enjoy listening to him on various radio shows. He is so brutally honest and straightforward its refreshing. Think I would enjoy him as our guy.
  10. I personally think its difficult to be impartial when your wife is an AGM of the team. Would much rather Juice but I doubt that is an option at this point.
  11. Continue fabricating facts out of thin air to help win your arguement... looks good on you. Yes, I am aware it could be a coerced statement. However, it is also possible it wasn't coerced and she wasn't raped... seems to me there may be some credible evidence to refute some of her allegations and I imagine we will have a better understanding of what transpired after the report is released. I don't really see a situation where any of the reported 8 players here should not receive harsh punishment. Even if the woman wasn't raped, they brought disgrace upon themselves, their families, their country, and their sport. However, I'm not quite ready to support your comment that everyone invovled should automatically receive a lifetime ban. You asked for reasons and I gave them to you.
  12. "But afterward, according to the claim, the first player invited his teammates into the room without E.M.’s knowledge. She alleges that for several hours after that, she was sexually abused and assaulted. In her claim, E.M. stated that she was filled with terror and acquiesced to their requests, at times crying and attempting to leave, but the players then “directed, manipulated and intimidated” her to stay, the lawsuit alleges. Where does it say she was '12 beers deep'?? All I am saying, is lets just wait and see what the official report says before condemning everyone involved in this ****show to have a lifetime ban. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-woman-at-centre-of-hockey-canada-allegations-interviewed-by-police/ Two weeks ago, lawyers representing some of the players showed The Globe two videos that were recorded on the night of the alleged assault. The lawyers say the footage shows the sexual contact was consensual and that E.M. was not fearful, intimidated or intoxicated, as she claimed. The first clip, shot at 3:25 a.m., is six seconds long and shows her from the neck up. A male voice can be heard saying, “You’re okay with this?” “I’m okay with this,” E.M. replies. In the second video, which was shot at 4:26 a.m., she is covering herself with a towel in a hotel room: “Are you recording me?” she asks. “Okay, good. It was all consensual. You are so paranoid, holy. I enjoyed it, it was fine. It was all consensual. I am so sober, that’s why I can’t do this right now."
  13. You are putting words in my mouth once again. Keep doing it if it makes you feel better about yourself. To be clear: I am not insinuating that rape or watching rape is OK. I think we need to first ascertain that a rape occured (which to me remains unclear). Others have decreed that she was '12 beers deep' and therefore it happened. I am not aware of that fact being documented anywhere... please excuse my ignorance and help me understand where that is coming from. I tried google searching and could not find anything.
  14. Strawman argument - you are putting words in my mouth and then calling me 'sick'.... says more about you than it does about me IMO. I am not defending rape in any way shape or form. I am just suggesting that its plausible that some of the people invovled do not deserve to have a lifetime ban and that we should wait for the official report to be released before sharpening the pitchforks on everyone invovled.
  15. First of all, your original comment says 'everyone involved should get a lifetime ban'. That is not quite the same as your most recent quote. Everyone involved? Even those who watched? A lifetime ban from the sport they dedicated their entire lives to, all because they happened to stumble across some idiots. Maybe wait until the report comes out before passing your calls for severe judgement on anyone who was unfortunate enough to be dragged into this awful mess. These were 18 year old kids who were drunk. Some are presumably significant more guilty than others and surely deserve more severe punishments. 'Everyone Involved'...? It seems pretty clear to me (speculating of course) that the biggest cultprit (AF) is no longer in the league and I doubt any NHL team will want to touch him ever again based off optics alone. All the facts have not come out yet you are already sharpening your pitchfork. Whats worse, you are attempting to bully/ shame / publically ridicule anyone who doesn't 100% agree with your extreme take.
  16. For someone who posts like they have it all figured out... you sure come across as clueless sometimes. You can obviously sell high on a player that hasn't reached their prime yet. That is not to say that Yzerman did sell high (it's too early to tell)... just that he obviously thought he was selling high when he made the trade. You seem confused as to how he could trade away a good young player for futures and then go out and trade futures for a good young player like 6 months later.... it seems pretty obvious to me what is going on here... he's engaging in some form of 'asset management' (a foreign concept to the Canucks... I know). Whether he is right or wrong in his outlook is irrelevant to what his logic is in making these trades... Now more than ever with the flat cap are we seeing the true opportunity costs that come with having cap hits on the books.
  17. Not as sold on Soucy at 3x 3.25 as others here.... If this contract is so great I'm very surprised Seattle wouldn't have offered it seeing as they have much more cap. He has played 3rd pairing minutes his whole career and we are effectively gambling he can be more than that. Hopefully they are right.
  18. Of course it's too much! But whatever.... Least it's not a 4 year deal like Tucker Poolman....
