  1. Congrats PopSocks on their first title of 2015!
  2. Seeing as Federer bageled Berdych yesterday, it's great that Milos kept it close the whole match. Almost seems as though he has taken pace off of his groundstroke to ensure that he doesn't make unnecessary unforced errors Great to see Bester back out there healthy again. He's a nice guy and he's been working hard to come back post surgery
  3. Hanging in Raonic's box! Well played Milos. Beats Rafa and only loses by a single break in each set to Federer
  4. Raonic just took the 2nd set against Rafa at Indian Wells. Playing very well and making Rafa hit some amazing shots
  5. Looks like when they've hosted, the majority of them have been on clayhttp://www.daviscup.com/en/teams/team/profile.aspx?id=BEL Edit : @OpenCourt: Previous RT from a Belgian reporter, says Davis Cup QF tie vs. Canada will be played on red clay, in the Flemish part of the country.
  6. ahh nice try Raonic. Good fight till the end
  7. "It's important for me to succeed in the name of my nation" Milos Raonic
  8. I'm very unimpressed by how Genie has handled her fandom so far. Tournament organizers can't rely on her to honour a commitment to their event anymore. Seems her personal life is more important to her than tennis. Given how players like Madison Keys are playing, Genie is not the only talented young player on the rise. Her tennis is what will make her a household name, not how many celebs she hangs with
  9. SN1 was showing highlights earlier today and SN World has full matches
  10. Randomly started watching World Cup yesterday and have been obsessed ever since. Decent sport. Lots of rules and numbers to understand but still fun to watch
  11. Milos lost to Wawrinka in the Rotterdam semis today but he played quite well. Lost both sets in tiebreaks. He had a few set points in the 2nd one but went for overly aggressive returns and made errors. It's a sign of his maturity that when he loses the first set he doesn't fall apart and lose the 2nd one by a lopsided score. That's the next step for Genie IMO. If she loses the first set, she needs to battle back mentally and physically and try to at least keep the 2nd set close. Fewer 6-1 scorelines will be the next step in her development.
  12. Aaand in her first post-Aus Open match, Genie loses to 42-ranked Mona Barthel. Genie was the top seed in this tournament, and opted out of Fed Cup so that she could play Antwerp. She's becoming one of those players that only shows up at Slams. Let's hope her new coach can change that
  13. Genie has reportedly hired Azarenka's former coach http://www.sportsnet.ca/tennis/report-bouchard-hires-sumyk-as-new-coach/ Interesting that she's in Montreal, but not playing Fed Cup in Quebec City. She can't use the "star player" excuse either. Both Williams sisters are playing for Team USA
  14. Well done Serena! #19 and I love it when she beats Sharapova. Arrogant for no reason. Hope Genie isn't following her mold. Man am I paying for the lack of sleep today!
  15.     I don't think she has. She was with her trainer, agent, and hitting partner at Aus, but they specifically mentioned that she didn't have a coach
  16. Absolutely. She saved 8 Serena match points before finally losing. She's more patient than Genie. Willing to hit a few extra shots than Genie who tries to end points quickly. Will be very interesting to watch them play each other
  17. Wow Madison Keys takes Serena to a first set tiebreak. Serena won it but Keys played fantastic. She's almost out-acing Serena Fell apart in the second set but a very good tournament for one of Genie's rivals. She's coached by Lindsay Davenport. Wonder who Genie will choose as her coach
  18. Agreed. It's not unheard of for top players to not play Fed Cup but Genie is Canada's best hope. The Williams sisters have played for decades despite being the busiest players on tour. It's about representing your nation.
