For all the hoopla, neither Milos nor Genie have been very competitive against the elite. Lots to work on there Also hearing that Genie will not be playing Fed Cup in Quebec City. Very disappointing if true. A bit early for her to be snubbing her country

Madison Keys beats Venus. Would have loved to see a Serena vs Venus match at a Slam. It's been awhile. I am really annoyed by Genie's "there are no friends on tour" attitude. A few years ago she was making Gangam Style videos with Madison and now she calls everyone "my opponent"? Serena, Azarenka, Wozniacki, Kvitova, Roger, Rafa, Novak, etc. are all the best in the game and they don't seem to have issues having friends on tour. I just think it's not the type of person she is. She was coached to say those things but IMO it's a waste to spend most of the year on tour with these people and not get to at least know them a little bit

Wish Genie had kept it tighter than 3 and 2. Must work on serve and unforced errors

Too many errors for Genie. 20 in the first set! Still lots to learn but she's on the right path

Milos has improved his serve return. Good match for him I hope Genie can make it a competitive match against Sharapova

Milos beats Becker. Good match. Didn't even need any tiebreaks! Pospisil in trouble though. Lost first set 6-2 and keeps grabbing his back. His health has been his downfall so far in his career

Wowza Fed is out. I had him as a dark horse to win the whole thing

Agreed. It's awful. It's proof that sexism still exists in women's sports. No one would dream of asking Rafa or Roger or some younger attractive male player those types of things. Genie should stop being so nice and refuse to answer such silly requests

Gritty effort from Pospisil against Querrey. That was a tricky opening round match considering that Querrey is a former top 20

He had his opportunities to pressure and break earlier but he just doesn't seem to go after it. He's very passive and seems to just wait for tiebreaks. The only way he seems to break earlier than that in the set, is if his opponent makes errors and basically hands him the break. That tactic is understandable again some of the best in the world, but against all of these unranked qualifier opponents i'd like to see him dictate the game more and be confident and go after those points

It annoys me that Raonic can't win even a first round match without going to a tiebreak

The Interview - 7/10 Goofy and stupid, but very funny. I can see why N.Korea would have an issue with it I also thought it was funny that they tried to pass off locations in BC as being locations in N.Korea. To anyone who has lived in BC it's so obvious where some of those scenes were shot. Obviously this was a spoof movie, and sometimes those are the best at getting a serious point across. Pretty decent movie i'd say. Good for a few laughs

Based on today's practice - Burrows on 4th line with Dorsett and Horvat. Rightfully so. They have to do something about his ineffectiveness. Horvat and Dorsett might actually compliment him

Thank goodness for phone alarm clocks. I wouldn't trust an electronic one to still be working tomorrow morning. Who knows how long the power will hold out.
