Hitmen vs Wheat kings game one is tonight at 5:30 on SHAW.

gaunce will probably be our second liner in his prime, that being said, he's already made great strides in improving his game (and transitioning to left wing), so if he keeps this up he may flirt with the first line every now and then too. I could see him lining up on horvat's left side every now and then.

Last night Marky-Mark saved 30 of 32 shots, sporting a 0.938 SV% and a 1.44GAA (thanks to the game going into double OT). a solid outing by the Funky Bunch gave him the win.

trading miller directly impacts markstom, it gives him a spot as a NHL backup.

san jose would probably like a vet goalie to help develop their young goalie. give them miller and eriksson, old and new, they'll be set for a while.

kenins was great all game until the final shift of the game when they got caught in their end for 50 seconds and he was completely gassed and failed to make a play at the point to get it out and change. basing his entire game on a single shift is ludacris. the horvat line was basically in the other teams zone all game long up until that point. OrrFour is so out to lunch on this, he's out to dinner

but can you see it on his face or in his body language? seriously though, i agree. The coach should probably know what lines work by now, he had an entire freaking season plus a first round of playoff to figure this crap out already.

to be fair, Cheezer has played in 69 NHL games now, and he has always shown more than vey has. I'm not discrediting vey here, but Cheezer is a far superior player. Baertschi NHL totals: 69GP 10G 20A 30Pts 26PIM Vey NHL totals: 93GP 10G 19A 29Pts 18PIM That speaks volumes, and it includes all the misused and mismanaged confidence-killing time on the Flames.

hmmmmm, on the Mcguire monster scale, that's not that good... unless... how long was the interview? less than 6 min? for him to be a genuine NHL prospect he needs to get 1 monster/min (though some detractors might say 2) . otherwise he's a bust.
