  1. Dunfield has struggled lately? Umm... like he's the only one? Pretty sad to see Dunfield go.
  2. I thought Harris played really well in 2nd half that game considering the situation. I don't think fitness was the issue. He had to run a lot more when Hassli got those bogus yellows. Now, could it be Thordarson prefers to go with Harris up front because he's a bit more responsible? As exciting as Camilo and Hassli are they do have the tendency to be reckless. I don't mind Harris despite the fact he may be less of a scoring threat than the other strikers. I think he makes up for it by playing the safe game. I did not know this but according to his player page, Harris is a cousin of Micah Richards. Neat. - http://whitecapsfc.com/player/atiba-harris
  3. Here's the original article which your link claims to get it's info. In case you want a source not named after a movie character. Instead of just posting headlines to try to scare people.
  4. A road in Naka, Ibaraki prefecture, Japan: left, how it was on the day of the earthquake; right, six days later (17 March) after rapid repairs. Photograph: AP http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/24/japan-disaster-reconstruction-road-recovery 6 Days? Wow! +
  5. What press conference? CNN, LA Times, etc.. many US news sources are just trying to scare people. They don't give a crap about people who are directly effected or people who are connected to those who are effected, etc... They just don't care about accuracy or responsibility. They just report news for the sake of shock value. If I were a Japanese Government official or Japanese media liaison, the LAST people I would give sensitive information to is the Americans.
  6. I don't trust any American media sources anymore. They are all out for ratings/web traffic they are sensationalists and irresponsible.
  7. Article from the Globe and Mail - Japan’s response to quake offers lessons to the world Worth reading, I think. Especially the part about the cell phones. "major cell-phone companies restricted access to voice calls in certain networks as part of a national strategy to maintain airspace for emergency service personnel. But text message and email systems remained functional". Trying to stay positive.
  8. Some local history. Wikipedia on the Alaska earthquake - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1964_Alaska_earthquake
  9. If you understand Japanese, check out the link. It's TBS (Tohoku). More shocks coming in Central Japan.
  10. Not in the north this time. News says Niigata, Nagano, Gunma prefectures. And 6.6 is on the Shindo scale. Which is not the same as the Richter scale. Live local news from northern Japan (no subs) - http://www.ustream.tv/channel/tbstv
  11. Link for NHK World Live - http://wwitv.com/tv_channels/6810.htm I didn't have SilverLight. I hit the "stream" button & am watching the stream with VLC player.
