  1. Poor Boes. Can’t catch a break. That being said, wouldn’t be surprised this summer if a Boeser for Dumba type trade happens. Especially if the Canucks do well with Taffoli and what he says about the future players. That D needs an immediate impact with Tanev’s future in doubt.
  2. Creating a winning environment and actually playing meaningful hockey is how teams mature, grow, and learn to overcome hurdles and that’s a fact. That’s Exactly what they are doing right now as they are playing meaningful hockey for the first time in half a decade. FFS man have some optimism for once.
  3. And Jordan Schroeder played lights out in the tournament too and look how he panned out. You really don’t know how good he is because you don’t watch and monitor his development like the team does on a regular basis. People on here like to think they know more than the organization and it’s comical. If madden was a true blue chipper obviously he wouldn’t have been dealt.
  4. He was referring to role players like Schaller, Beagle, Roussel, Sutter, Eriksson, and Pearson, who are in fact role players and not core players like JT Miller, that are the ones who will be replaced by younger, cheaper players. The Canucks have a plethora of young talent in the system now more so then they have ever had before and reality is there are only so many spots on this team available. Tyler Madden isn’t exactly selling the future simply because the Canucks already have 3 fine young centerman. Nor is trading a 1st round pick who may or may never play in the NHL for a core players in the prime of his year scoring at a PPG pace. I’m don’t bantering back and forth with you for the evening but you are one negative poster who needs to get off these boards and step out and get some fresh air once in a while.
  5. Lol man you are delusional. You are just spewing nonsense without backing anything up with concrete evidence. I’m pretty sure there is a plan in place for the future cap issues. Miller is not a support player. He is more integral to this team than anybody not named Petey, Marky, or Hughes.
  6. Benning was just on record stating that they are not concerned about the upcoming cap issues and UFA’s that need to be dealt with.
  7. How do you know that Miller and/or Taffoli won’t be here in 3 years, contributing to this team. How do you know Miller still won’t be in his prime? Just because most players fizzle out after 30? You are strictly assuming without factual evidence to back up your claims.
  8. Top prospects. Like Hunter Shinkaruk and Jonathan Dahlin. Where they at now? Clearly the Canucks, who I assume know more than we do, thought they were in a good enough position to trade a 150 lb centerman who although is having a fine season in college, may or may never play in the league.
  9. How much more losing can you stomach? Like, I just made a post on how if you don’t make trades like this to support your drafted core players you play a dangerous game and become the Edmonton Oilers or Buffalo Sabres. Like, I just don’t understand how fans can have this wait and see approach with building a hockey team strictly through the draft. It is a dangerous gamble with low odds.
  10. Man alive. You cannot build a team sorely on draft picks because you turn out like the Edmonton Oilers. You NEED to make moves like this to build a winner. Every NHL team the last few years made trades like this to shore up their roster. The Blues traded for Ryan O’Reilly, the caps traded for TJ Oshie, etc. If the Canucks don’t trade for Miller, we are sitting in a lottery position for a 5th season in a row and potentially another 6th next year too. That’s becoming the Edmonton Oilers.
  11. What are you talking about? He’s not even 27 yet and the Canucks will be entering that window as early as next year barring a few more moves. Miller drives the play on the first line more often than not and never takes a night off. He’s an integral part of the core moving forwards. Put the sauce down for the evening bro.
  12. Yeah hate to break it to you bud but that house in the lower mainland is worth 2-5 million minimum depending on municipality. Im sure the average household income could cover it though..
  13. It’s not sustainable. But in reality the Canucks are in a way overachieving this season and finding ways to win unlike years past. They really have to shore up the defensive core and play a different style of game if they want to be genuine contenders. Not worried. The window is just opening.
  14. Too bad I’m not an oil patch worker. I work for a company who probably very well sends you an invoice monthly for all the dirty bitumen you burned to keep yourself cozy on these cold winter nights.
  15. Hah. I’m sure you drive a Tesla (or cycle to work and dont own a vehicle) and live a completely eco friendly, sustainable lifestyle in a home fuelled completely by solar panels in Fraser Heights. Oh wait, you are lurking on these boards on an IPhone X made with plastic and materials which came from the very matter you continue to anti preach on these boards. Not gonna argue this any further. You are so out of touch with reality it’s mind boggling. But hey, you can’t fix stupid, but you can definitely monitor it.
  16. Yeah, well I work in the energy sector and it provides for my family so I’m giving you the middle finger.
  17. The world is overpopulated as it is and although climate change is bad, Mother Nature always wins so people need to stop buying in to what the media and hypocrites keeps shoving down our throats and let nature play itself out. The world has been around for tens of millions of years and has survived much, much worse than this bullsh*t and humans are just a blip on the radar. Planet earth will carry on just fine without us. Not saying I don’t care about future generations, but it’s not like a freaking gas pipeline is gonna make more of a difference to the current situation. If you wanna pass blame, blame China ffs who still burns coal to produce 70% of its energy.
