Our defence budget is minuscule compared to other NATO countries. It sucks. It’s even worse now since combat ops ended in 2010. However, our training standards make up for it. We made the US Marines look silly in a friendly mil-skills competition down south a few years back.

Brandon Sutter for getting hurt and allowing Gaudette to grow into that 3rd line center role. Jokes aside, probably Miller as nobody could see him scoring at a near PPG pace and has allowed that line to flourish. Pearson has been outstanding but doesn’t have the same impact as Miller. IDC what anyone says, and no disrespect to Petey, but #43 has been the MVP and is going to be a top 5 NHL defenceman before long. Kids incredible.

Defence. We need a Ryan Pulock type back there.

The Canucks are obviously reeling after an extended break and the Kings played last night, fired up after a big win. Just because they are well ‘rested’ doesn’t mean they are ready to play. Nucks are flat tonight and if they win that’s a huge bonus.

This game goes to show what it will take to win a playoff game. Even if the Canucks make it this year or the next, they are gonna have to revamp their playing style. Getting mauled out there and waiting to score on the PP is a recipe for disaster.

I listen to 1040 daily and they do their fair share of talking other sports and other teams in the NHL. Not sure what you are getting at.

Jim Rome had arguably the most popular sports talk show in North America for a time and his show was a mixed bag. There is only so much Canuck related topics you can talk about for 13 hours of being on the radio.

Wow crazy. Doesn’t take away from the fact the Canucks play soft and a minuscule Habs team dominated the boards game last night. The Canucks continue to be easy to play against.

5 years of struggling takes its toll.

If the wheels completely come off this season I can’t see Benning making it through the summer. The Canucks have loads of young talent thanks to his drafting but ultimately are cash strapped due to questionable contracts (inexcusable for a ‘rebuilding’ team) and only have one sure-fire young defenceman after 5 years of him being here.

Trust me, Loui. We have seen enough of you, Baer, and Goldobin to know what kind of players you are. And I don’t even like Travis Green.
