  1. I would put Danielson in that category without blinking an eye.
  2. I feel like the Wings need to take a swing on somebody that has high upside though. They don't have an equivalent to a Petey or a Hughes in their system. Something has to give in Detroit.
  3. I've been feeling extra giddy today about the fact that our brass likes Willander and Drance hates it.
  4. I see a lot of Brayden Point in him - a known playoff performer...
  5. Yes he only played to games in the SHL, but it's more important to get a sense of what the player will be like down the road and not what he is now.
  6. Sounds like a Swede but is indeed a Western Canadian...
  7. As someone of Austrian lineage, it breaks my heart to say that Reinbacher won't be there at 11 in all likelihood. Wood is good prospect too, but I personally have Barlow higher than him.
  8. But then Barlow could easily go to Arizona at 12. If these are the three guys they like, they may as well make their pick at 11.
  9. Well I can confidently say that these are 3 guys you would have taken for dinner too.
  10. I always wait for the dinner tidbit every year. Those three players would each compliment our core extremely well. I have my reservations about there being other guys with more upside, but I like all three players. On one hand, you have a right-handed centre with a projectable frame who has great range in his game, a left-winger who brings physicality and has an elite shot (and leadership intangibles), and a right D who has many projectable attributes (size, skating, physicality, etc.). They're all more on the 'safe' side, but that doesn't make them bad prospects/potential picks.
  11. If ASP was another two inches taller, he would be a surefire candidate for top-5 in this draft. We should be over the moon if we land him at 11.
  12. I haven't talked about Perreault much at our pick, but he would be okay as a complementary playmaker winger for the top line. However, I don't consider him to be anywhere near the best candidate for our pick despite his upside. I hope the Blues take him, leaving us with another option to choose from.
  13. I honestly don't think Benson falls past Detroit. It would be a crime in we didn't take him and he's still available. It's not like we're stocked with young talent on LW either.
  14. Do you know if the Sporting News has a top-100 for this year's crop?
  15. Okay, I also saw Gulyayev compared to Barrie so maybe that's where I got crossed up. I don't really agree with thr Barrie comp for ASP though. He has more bite and better two-way acumen than Barrie does.
  16. I really want Sandin- Pelikka. He has very high offensive upside and has an underrated two-way game. Great low centre gravity too No he hasn't been compared to Barrie...
  17. More or less the most accurate to my predictions, maybe other than the Canucks pick; and I ultimately think Moore ends up going higher.
  18. Probably the most accurate mock I've seen to date:
  19. Apparently we are going to trade our first every year.
