  1. I also think Dvorsky is a consideration for Washington's pick. I like Sale for the Wings too potentially, because some of their F picks haven't hit their ceilings, and I think Sale is a smart bet and a potentially good fit for their young forward group. Barlow and Honzek are potentially good fits for the Blues too. I don't think what Honzek gets enough credit for is, apart from having an imposing figure, is that he delivers bone crushing hits. I've seen a Danius Zubrus comparison for him, and people don't remember that he played 1,200 games in the NHL. I don't quite remember if Zubrus was the most physical player, but he was certainly strong in the corners etc. I don't think anybody truly knows whether, by the time we pick, there will be 0, 1, or 2 of Reinbacher or Pelikka available. The aforementioned forwards may give the draft order an interesting wrinkle. In fact, I think all can be justified as being good, valuable selections for the Canucks. All guys that can complement our young forward group. However, I am crossing my fingers for one of Reinbacher or Pelikka. I'd say approximately a 70% chance that one will be sitting there.
  2. 1. CHI - Bedard 2. ANA - Fantilli 3. CBJ - Smith 4. SJS - Carlsson 5. MTL - Michkov 6. ARZ - Benson 7. PHI - Leonard 8. WAS - Sandin-Pelikka 9. DET - Dvorsky 10. STL - Sale 11. VAN - Reinbacher
  3. Leonard would be a massive win. But I highly doubt he'll be there at 11. I think it's more likely that Reinbacher will be there.
  4. I'm so inclined to throw Barlow into that mix. That would be like adding Mason McTavish to this core.
  5. If one of Reinbacher or ASP is available then it's an easy pick.
  6. Lots to like at the 11th pick. I have Reinbacher, ASP, Moore, Barlow, Sale as potential targets.
  7. That's been happening non-stop in my brain today.
  8. Sure that's our depth chart, but it would be a dangerous game hoping that all these guys (especially at forward) pan out. However, I agree that Reinbacher would make a fabulous pick. I think if either him or ASP are available at our pick then we must take them. With that being said, we need help just about everywhere, including C/LW and to a lesser extent RW.
  9. @HighOnHockey What do you think Fisker-Molgaard's ceiling is? I think he will almost for sure be an NHL'er one day, but given that you're a fan of his, I was wondering what type of role you think he'll have. Also, is there a reason why Finns such as Kiiskinen (winger) and Karki (defence) aren't getting a lot of attention? Not to make lazy comparisons, but Finns like Hintz and Lindell sure made for incredible 2nd/3rd round picks...
  10. Strange indeed. And maybe Axel Sandin-Pelikka's idol is Johnny Leks. Strange times...
  11. I feel like Moore should be on more lists such as these. He hasn't been getting enough love around here considering his ceiling and top-end speed.
  12. Not so bad as much as it is awkward. For some reason Dave Andreychuk comes to mind in that respect.
  13. The more I see rankings/mock drafts, the more I'm starting to believe that one of Reinbacher or ASP will be available. It would be a no-brainer for us to select either guy.
  14. A comparable I've seen for Sale is Matt Boldy. Somebody who is good at everything and teeders on the line of elite production. He would provide a significant boost to any team's offensive corps. He would make a good pick for just about any team that drafts him.
  15. I highly agree with this. The lower you pick the higher the odds a player(s) you like will get picked, but we have no idea what different teams draft lists look like. No one on these forums had any idea that the Nucks' brass had Lek ranked at 7th until Allvin said so after the fact. Heck, in 2017, neither Hischier nor Patrick were #1 on the Nucks' list according to Linden. At #11, from what I gather, Allvin and co. are fairly confident about their options at that pick, and understandably so. In my opinion, there are about 15 players that deserve to go in the top-10. Let the chips fall where they may...
  16. Anthony Cirelli was thrown out there as a comparable.
  17. Danielson seems like somebody you win in the playoffs with.
  18. Well if Benson falls out of the top-10 then we better take him...
