I'm very stoked for season 2, I rather enjoyed this show. Decided to avoid the books so as to avoid spoilers. I wish there was about half the drama in it though, they have a pretty intriguing story as it is, I would prefer they focus on that, rather than making it medieval-themed 90210, the fight/violence scenes are quite good, but there could be more of them. I guess the sex scenes are alright, I like naked women, but I didn't watch it to have a wank, so they don't need to be so often.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing Schroeder up really soon. Ebbett would still be gone after the All-Star break I'm guessing, so we are left with 12 forwards (I assume Rome/Alberts would be our 13th if needed). We know management likes to call guys up for a couple games to evaluate our farm players and to acclimatize guys to the team, I imagine Schroeder is next on the list. This might not coincide well right now with them looking at Tanev/D options, management may decide to stick with 12 forwards in order to more properly evaluate the defense (the idea that if Salo returns, but they aren't done evaluating Tanev or want to keep Tanev up, we would be running with 9 D, no room for a 13th forward regardless of Ebbet being out). My question would be, would Schroeder get his feet wet on the Canucks as a center or a wing? We easily move Kesler or Coho to wing for a couple games and use Schroeder in the position he is comfortable with, or we could go with the 'wingers have less responsibilities' mantra. There was much talk by AV/MG about helping out Cody by starting him on wing, but we also all saw how much more comfortable his game looked when being placed at center, I wonder if management will stick to their wing-first idea, or if Cody's play will have swayed them away from that mentality. Counter to the wing-first mentality, management has always stated they want players on the farm playing the role they would play on the Canucks, and we clearly see Schroeder being used as a center in the AHL. Edit: I imagine Bitz will also get a look before the deadline, if possible, and I would imagine Sauve/Connauton will have to wait till after deadline.

Not sure this is the best use of funds, but I gotta research the matter more before I decide if I like this. If they are losing $7M per year, over 49 stations, thats about $143K per station, per year. I would argue that it would be cheap to hire someone to check all tickets and do nothing else (143k = 10,000 labour hrs at $14.30, thats over 27 hrs per day, could have two ppl working during the peak hrs). That would avoid the $100M initial cost and would be immediately effective, but then again, I know little about this stuff so who knows what would work best. I cut through the Lougheed Mall Station all the time without a ticket to get from the mall to where I stay when I'm in Burnaby, its a pretty good shortcut to go through the station rather than to walk around. I have always been worried about being hassled by Transit cops for that, despite the fact that its pretty obvious I enter the station and go straight towards the other exit, avoiding the stairs completely and never actually using the SkyTrain. I guess soon I won't have a choice but to walk around, a small price to pay to keep the riffraff from riding for free I suppose.

Had a dream last night the Ducks/Preds got into a marathon game, OT after OT with no scoring, it lasted 4 months for a team to finally win the game, then the Canucks got Manny back and we won the Cup!

Do the Canucks try to run up the score to help Danny win the Art Ross, or play defensive to help Lui/Schneids win the Jennings?

We havent been playing our best lately, other teams are playing hard to make the playoffs, and yet they can't force us into a losing record, good things are to come
