  1. Hughes - Tryamkin Gavrikov - Hronek Wolanin - Johansson Brisboise - Burroughs Etc.
  2. With Millstein as his agent, just like the rest of Vancouver Comrades, I think we're a shoe-in to sign him in the offseason. That would be huge for us holy moly.
  3. I read a lot of Detroit fan comments after the trade, and many agreed that Hronek getting paired with Chiarot tanked his numbers. Since being paired with Maata, he has been having a career season. Many lament his defensive play and turnovers that sound an awful lot like Miller's turnovers (blind behind the back plays). But, considering Tocc took no time at all to get Miller in check, I'm betting Hronek will become an even better player under him, Foote, and Gonchar. We just need to find a solid partner to play with him.
  4. We always wanted to see Petey and Brock blasting from both sides, but that never happened for some reason. Hopefully they'll find a way to fit Petey and Hronek on opposite sides and just start blasting away.
  5. I think he had some multi-point games early on with them as well. His offence has dried up quite a lot in the last handful of games. Definitely a great trade for us. It wouldn't surprise me if JRs early evaluation of this team saw Bo as the weak link, in the sense that he's not a playmaker but rather a finisher, and we can put a monkey with Petey or Miller and they'll produce. P&M drive their lines and the PP, so Bo was the easiest one to replace out of the core. Bo and a 2nd for Hronek, Beau, Raty, and a 4th One of the best trades in franchise history, on paper. Time will tell.
  6. Looks like Bo's offence has dried up a little over there, but they're winning games still. Hronek should be arriving to see our doctors today or tomorrow. Salo, yup. Now we'll have two Salo shots on the team at the same time: Hronek and Petey.
  7. The question is whether Allvin can make more good moves to turn things around in a hurry. We need some stars to align (e.g. injuries kept to a minimum), but this group has so much potential, so another Hronek-type trade or signing and suddenly a window might actually start to open.
  8. OEL needs to get healthy, have a strong offseason, and be given a defined defensive role that sees him as a facilitator to Hronek's play style.
  9. 100% worth the read. It's a classic. As a collector, the condition saddens me, but because it's HST, it's basically a pre-requisite, so I approve
  10. 100% comes from the owner. Maybe we call it the Luigiplan?
  11. It's about time JR and Allvin call him what he is: a superstar.
  12. It's not about complaining for the sake of it. Lots of fans and pundits wanted to see the Canucks exercise a little patience for once, like Yzerman, Blake, and Sakic do - like Yzerman did with the trades he just made. Yzerman said in his tdl presser that he sees them contending in a few years against the likes of Ottawa, Buffalo, NJ, etc., of tomorrow, and not against the likes of Boston, Carolina, NY, Pitts, etc. of today. He knows a patient approach is the more tested method of building a contender for years to come, not just byilding a competitive team that can make the playoffs. We, on the other hand, are looking short term and trying to be competitive against the likes of the Avalanche, Edmonton, Vegas, etc. of today, and not planning for being contenders for years to come against the likes of Anaheim, LA, Chicago, etc. of tomorrow. We'll end up doing what we always do, which is try to make the playoffs each year and fall flat, only to pick mid-first round. TLDR: fans want the Yzermanplan but we're getting the Insanityplan
