Depends on what the bachelor degree is for, Economics or Law coupled with reaching a certain rank in the military I'm fine with. An arts degree and a couple years in the reserves, then no.
D's get degrees. What an incredibly myopic stipulation to become PM.

Spotted this on Reddit this morning. Apparently the Chinese skater grabbed an threw a cone under another skater causing a crash but it was the Canadians that were disqualified. The video was also taken down apparently. Did anyone else seen the clip?

This is truly the sad part. We had a chance as human beings to truly band together for once and demonstrate love and compassion for each other and do something truly amazing. But 10% of the people had to ruin it for everyone. It's extremely disappointing.
This is the root of the mental health crisis in a nutshell.

What a joke

You are making fun of this, which isn't really helping. After making it at not so national holiday, Trudeau still went to Tofino instead of reconciliation. One more reason for the protests.
Trying to claim that this protest has anything to do with indigenous rights is disingenuous and extremely distasteful. The politics behind this protest are the antithesis of indigenous rights.

Let me get.this straight. Truckers are mad cause they will be required vaccine to enter Canada and protesting Trudeau which is kinda pointless given US also require truckers entering the US to be vaccinated.
So even if this work and Trudeau drop the mandate, it will make 0 difference as they need one to go into the US anyways.
Real big brain over there.
Along with that, they want to remove all restrictions, for all of us. Masks, distancing, capacity restrictions, poof, all gone. So called truckers. Lets be honest, these aren't truckers. These are easily manipulated people who happen to be truckers, who were duped by right wing propaganda

"Vaccine mandates and passports are a redline that shouldn't have been crossed (IMO)"
That's where I stand, I thought that was pretty clear. I'm double vax, but that doesn't mean I can't support freedom of choice. I think many are doing the same thing at the recent rallies. What qualifies you to be the arbiter of line? We all know exactly where you stand, even though you don't have the guts to admit it. Your little gimmick wore itself thin long ago.

Not at all. You should be able to stand where you like on issues without fear. Vaccine mandates and passports are a redline that shouldn't have been crossed (IMO). It's a form of coercion through fear. That's not what our democracy is supposed to do. I still support the vax, just not firing people for not taking it, restricting their freedoms and travel.
Better masks, ventilation are great things to support. If they won't support it, then at least give us the freedom to wear our own better masks. My stance on that hasn't changed - the science supports that. People will do the right thing, get the vax, wear a better mask, maybe even donate so schools can get better ventilation and help their community. So there's no line for you? Or perhaps it depends on the issue? Utter nonsense

What happened to all that better ventilation, better masks etc? Are you telling me that was all bulls!#t and you were just trying to muddy the waters in an attempt to get people to doubt the vast majority of medical experts so society can do away with covid mitigation strategies altogether because you were an alt right troll all along? Say it ain't so giz.

No Deb, I prefer the experts to make those decisions. Who knows more about infectious diseases than truck drivers? I'll wait...

I have heard that truckers from the states have joined en masse and there are over 100,000 trucks in this movement. Is also being copied in Australia and Europe and elsewhere.
They are making a point as people that we need to have our freedoms back. They are vaccinated, double vaccinated, boosted, unvaccinated, black, white, brown yellow, gay, trans everyone. They have received 7M in funding through go fund me. It's not a small group of supporters. They are people standing up for human rights and saying hey governments let's start to turn the tap off on shutting down human rights.
Love it. My kids are all over this and I have started to pay attention as they show me clips and videos.
Anyone who doesn't support this is cheering for the wrong team.
The media is hacking on them but we don't need to blindly listen. Go convoy lol. People standing up for your human rights is a good thing. Happened in the 60's happened in China in the 80's it's always important when this many people speak out against the narrative. Don't be afraid - listen. Doesn't hurt you to listen.
Young people love this and they are the future. If you don't agree fine. But it's not hurting society to have 100,000 truckers make a point for everyone's benefit.
Lol

Remember that Washington State Trooper who went off on an epic rant on his radio because he wouldn't get vaccinated so instead he quit his job of 22 years, all while filming himself? Yeah, well....

All the national pundits pass their negative judgements on this convoy protest based on what? Fear of what extremists who might join this group will do? Foreign money coming into Canada to foment insurrection. That’s a first? IMHO it should disturb Canadians more that an orchestrated undermining of this effort can happen. No retrospective after the demonstration this weekend. Preemptive disenfranchisement is more like it.
The CBC is the paid mouthpiece for the Liberal Party and now that they pay the other major media outlets they can fall into step fast enough.
The truckers should have stayed in their own lane then. If they want to protest vaccine requirements for truckers crossing the border, fill yer boots. If they want to influence covid mitigation strategies for everyone, then I have a problem. In a world with tens of thousands of different career choices guess where truckers fall when it comes to giving health care advice?

It's disappointing that these clowns have kids, but maybe she'll grow up to be an actual free thinker, just not the kind her dad claims to be.
And no, I wouldn't punch the guy out with his daughter standing there. I would, however, tell him how irresponsible it was exposing his child to his blinding stupidity.
She was seeking her father's approval so the indoctrination may be too much to overcome.

Speaking of "dehumanizing" how many here think this guy is just "protesting" and how many would punch him square in the face, if they were the ones recording the video?
There was a video that came out around a month ago with a guy, driving around with his elementary school aged daughter, yelling the same stuff. Pretty sure it's the same nut.

What damage to children do you see?
One small segment has split themselves off. The rest of us are pulling in the same direction to get out of this.
I think Canada has done a remarkable job of balancing health and economy. Did you there wasn't going to be pain and suffering in a global pandemic?
The Canadian dollar sits at .80. I can remember when it was in the low .60's......and that wasn't during a pandemic
Again, did you think a pandemic was going to be a cake walk?
Antivaxxers always want to point to mandates as the reason for mental health decline. From my experience, as anecdotal as that may be, the mental health piece is due to a bunch of morons pulling in the opposite direction for political reasons, instead of following the advice of the vast majority of the medical community, charlatans and grifters aside.

Not easy to get, but not all people with a masters degree are created equal. What's myopic is the 2 options you have arbitrarily selected to lead our country. We already have a strong contingent of lawyers who have transitioned into politics, how's that working out? Thankfully, you are not the arbiter of who can become PM.
