Sounds like the kid has some high end skill. Nice to see the Canucks take a flyer with a late pick on a highly skilled, yet undersized player. Too many times we pass on these guys for too much "meat and potatoes". If these late picks have such a low chance on making it, I'd rather have a long shot/high reward guy. If there's such a small chance of these guys making, just swing away and go for the home run. Like this pick very much.

I for one did want Vilardi, and did make it known. Having said that, I am on board with a kid with more risk and a higher ceiling. Have not seen him play, but everything I'm hearing is that he's got the skill that we are in desperate need of. He may be a couple years away, but we've also hopefully got Gaudette coming after this next season. Our centre prospect depth isn't great, but after today's pick it is looking much better with those two on the way.

What about JAD, Robertson, Mismash? Other guys I'm hoping they take a chance on are Lodnia, Samberg, Ikonen and Safin. So much potential to be had potentially at 55 and 64. Gotta hope that CBJ pick pays off as a nice return on them getting the Adams winner.

Thinking tonight's "WTF's" when it comes to draft picks are not just specific to CDC, but to most fan bases this evening. Most of the picks seemed to be drawn out of a hat. All over the board.
