  1. Wow, HockeyDB sure updated fast. Already had Jake O listed as drafted. Good job.
  2. Thinking MTL take Tolvanen. They need help scoring.
  3. 33 & 55 should still snag us a couple good prospects
  4. Can't forget that he only played 18 games this season. That shoulder surgery could be scaring GMs. As long as the Russian fear factor doesn't come into play, some team could end up with a steal.
  5. May drop enough just to tease us into thinking we may have a chance. Then he'll be snatched from our fingertips, leaving us disappointed......but as that kid said the other night....we must persevere.
  6. Possibly Kostin? Wondering where Tolvanen and Yamamoto ultimately go.
  7. Can JB run on stage and get T.O.'s pick before they speak??? LOL
  8. Damn it LA. Good pick for Kings. Vilardi will be a good fit for them.
  9. Can we please make a deal and snag Vilardi? Can't believe he's out of top 10. Maybe Tolvanen? Or Liljegren? Too much sugar, just want to grab another 1st rounder. They weren't kidding when they were saying these picks could be all over the board.
  10. Bit disappointed in the pick, as I was hoping for somebody else. Having said that, from what I've read he's got some great skill and a high ceiling. Guess, I'm not terribly disappointed, just have the feeling we may be waiting longer to see him in the bigs. Hopefully it's only a year or so, and not 3-4. Either way, we needed more high end skill in the pipeline. Can't wait to see who else we select and how our prospect pool looks after the weekend.
  11. There seems to be more and more players going to college for a year and then signing. A player going to college doesn't scare me, especially if he's not NHL ready now.
  12. Not a bad idea, as it sounds like Vilardi was played on the wing a bit this year to keep him in the top 6. Vilardi is my pick, but taking 2 centres with our high picks also gives us a better chance of hitting a home run and filling that void. If both made it and one moved to the wing that's a huge win. I'd probably go C & D, but this definitely works, too.
  13. Don't be that guy...Mr. Party Pooper
  14. I'd be happy with Vilardi if he drops to 5, but still what a f'n joke this lottery is.
  15. Although Goldy is on the exempt list on CapFriendly, unless that 1st season coming over from Helsinki he was possibly on an ATO with Worcester.....maybe wouldn't apply?
  16. Signed ATO with Utica COMETS SIGN FORWARD ZACK MACEWEN TO ATO APR 10, 2017 Utica, NY - Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher has announced that the club has signed forward Zack MacEwen to an amateur tryout contract. MacEwen, 20, recently finished his season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Gatineau Olympiques playing in 66 regular season games ranking second on the team in goals (31), assists (43), points (74) and penalty minutes (90). The Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island native has registered 114 points (41-73-114) and 146 penalty minutes over the last two years in the QMJHL. Last season, MacEwen skated with the Moncton Wildcats. 17. Depending where we end up, still think we need that centre this year. Don't know enough about Hischier. Have wanted Patrick or Vilardi all along, but whoever we end up out of the 3, I'm going to be excited. Patrick is probably the only one who may step in next season the way our roster sits. Know very little about Mittelstadt, except that a lot of fans here are high on him. Bit worried about the hype when he spent most of the year back in high school. Whichever way the lotto balls fall and JB decides to go, I'm hopeful that we are able to fix our centre problem going forward once Henrik is gone.
  18. Weaker team. Can't forget he was also playing through a wrist injury before having surgery, and wouldn't quite be the same right away when he returned.
