  1. Jesus dude, whatever man, take it home as a win then. He was a spectacular draft pick for Vancouver who was humble and played his guts out for this team
  2. Okay, Hodgson asked for a trade cause he felt entitled to get more ice time After Henrik and Kessler. He was a dud for Vancouver
  3. Yeah well, technically he was a dud as well. We got a proven NHL player who seems like he's stoked to play here
  4. I really hope Sven is around for that. Got a soft spot for the guy
  5. Dude comes across as an elitist douche. End of story. If someone else has a different but equally valid perspective, he quashes it with his semi pseudo intellectual arguments, where he thinks his argument is superior, then that's it. Happens in all threads he's in. I don't care that this is a derail. I'm gonna call him out on it, especially since we have put forth valid arguments worthy of discussion against him. It's not just this thread but others. Anyways, I'm done for the night
  6. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA seriously!!! Dude!! HAHAHA OMG!!!! I've never seen a bigger ego...GTFO!!! You are pun'king right?
  7. HAHAHA, he doesn't get it. Without the ability to problem solve, math wouldn't be around
  8. No. I can prove that a mix is not really a bad thing. I'm a pipe fitter. We use math for measurements, we have to calculate angles and offsets. We also use advanced math for weird angles and offsets. Stringlines, levels, measuring off of different things to make things square and plumb. But... We also use our imagination to work routes that make sense. That work within a system and the materials you have. We have the ability to draw out isometric drawings, with the ability to use math and make material takeoffs. Take it a step further...I'm now an instrumentation mechanic apprentice. We also use a ton of math to bending tube to square rooting flow controls. But we also use our imaginations to troubleshoot and figure out whats going on. What flashes to gas at this temperature type of thing. That is art and imagination. So prove to me that the ability to do just straight math is far more relevant
  9. No, because the way you come off with your arguments are kinda nonsensical, and black and white. What if somebody was just sorta good at math and art at the same time? What if there was a spectrum where most people fit on this? And what if they did all right on it? In your worl they don't have a place on this but the real world says otherwise.
  10. Jesus Christ, your elitism and arrogance has the same smack as KOS for arrogance on this forum. We all get it, you are superior as far as circular arguments go, but sheesh, dial it back a bit
  11. Hahaha. Ruthless, but the dude has been pretty dickish to other people in other threads, so I don't feel that bad
  12. What I'm saying is that you lack perspective, you think that by opposing any new initiatives that you've done your job and can feel all smug - it shows a lot by your attitude, when in actual fact you are just as culpable as anyone else. Also, it might make you think deeper, even more critically? about the incredible Surrey living that you tout. You seem to be ignorant of the excellent quality of life you enjoy daily without the background ramifications on climate change you are so passionate about.
  13. No of course it's not, and anything you state is nothing that's really original too So I work as a pipe fitter so I'm going to take a look at something like drinking water. Let's look at the environmental impact of you pouring yourself a cool glass of water. First of all, I've never seen a single piece of pipe(carbon or stainless) originate from north america. I've seen China, Vietnam and other countries that are fantastically long ways away. How does that pipe get here? Well, usually by massive shipping vessels all chugging along burning fossil fuels. Massive amounts of fossil fuels. That's just the steel pipe, there's also the plastics of warious forms that are made of oil that are also shipped here using fantastic amounts of fossil fuels. Lets not forget the transportation and placing of that pipe. Trucks, cranes and forkilifts(I betcha that most of that was imported at huge costs) Anyways, I could go on... Is that nonsense KOS? Are you denying your part of this KOS? Just so you can take a shower this morning you were responsible for the burning of a MASSIVE amount of fossil fuels
  14. meh, you are a MASSIVE net contributer to the actual destruction of the environment, deny it all you want
  15. It amazes me that peeps like KOS, Deb and other posters on this board lack the self awareness that the fantastic lifestyle they are used to and the amenities they take for granted are all brought to them by the burning of fossil fuels. Even if they never personally bought another drop of gasoline, the massive carbon footprint that they are responsible for is off the charts.
  16. From what I understand is that nobody really wants refined fuel. It has a shelf life only so long and a lot of crude goes into making other products that are not fuels.
  17. They were were not trying to save the jobs of Canadians. They were trying to save the jobs of a Quebec company(for votes) If they truly cared about jobs and the economy Transmountain would be built Disgusting abuse of power to not piss off Quebec
  18. Woot! Woot! so much snow here in Chilliwack. Have to work in North delta...not a chance!
