Ouch

Gotta love those double whammy days. I had almost the same thing happen to me a couple of summers ago.

End of July - August long weekend pack up the family and head to tofino. Camping for 3 nights plus kind of overspent on a beach house rental for three nights after camping. 

Anyways, my &^@#ing truck breaks down (blew the clutch) on the way home, at Sutton Pass just outside of Port Alberni. No cell reception up there so I wait for a very safe opportunity, pin it like a psycho in first gear with the family looking, terrified throw her in neutral and coast down Sutton into Alberni. Call BCAA and luckily we only have to pay $90 for a tow back to Victoria, but the tow truck can only take two passengers...

So I had to rent a vehicle and pay the drop fee because I had to work the following day and couldn't get the truck back to PA.

There was a silver lining- the only rental was a Ford f350 super duty crew cab with an 8ft box. That truck had some serious &^@#ing balls.

Rental, gas, tow, new clutch, overspent on vacation, mortgage payment kick to the balls all in two days.
