    Oiler management continue to show their incompetence by naming a teenager the Captain with barely half a season under his belt.

      I don't think its wrong to give him the Captaincy in the future - heck even next year if he proves he can handle the pressure of being under the microscope in Edmonton and continues to develop his leadership skill set.

       

      People keep mentioning how other teams like Pitts named Crosby their Captain while he was a teenager - but that was after his second season and he didn't have nearly the same time of pressure that McDavid.

       

      They named the right guy Captain, but I believe it was a season too soon.

      Avs named Landeskog captain after playing a full season the year before. He was 19 years old at the time.
