^ Declaring that he had no intent to injure Binnington & wishing him well or a speedy recovery.., is what a respectful human being, let alone, what a union Bro would do. But, this ain’t anything new for the Avs. The drama & hate as a distraction for the Blues - was wanted. Playing the victim (of bullying) in juxtaposition to his history of goonery or delivering head-shots to “Blues” players & others in the past, is what’s fueling some discord, too. That’s also been a major part of the Bruins playbook for awhile too - page one!

Kadri better hope they aren’t going back to STL, and I’m not talking about retribution on the ice. That city is hopping mad at him, all right! No place for bullying, but that said - apologies for injuring a player (Binnington) & expressing at least an iota of regret about that, could go a long way. Has that happened? He can be a union bro who’s willing to be somewhat accountable…or remain what the majority of hockey/fans already perceive him to be.

LOL. I wonder if I’m just remembering something else! I thought it was a play directly infront of the net - not to the side of it & that Henrik was wearing white! Maybe I’d make a terrible witness….but regardless - this post of yours, my friend, is an example of priceless Karma! I had to scroll through several posts of Kadri delivering headshots to a number of his union bros,..but totally missed this!

He’s border-line enabled. Formerly in TOR now with the Avs. This is Kadri’s character in a nut-shell. The Blues have a history with Kadri, who plays a style that disregards the rules that govern the game & threatens the livelihood & well being of his fellow union bros. His opponents give him the privilege of playing hockey with them, and then he pulls this kind of crap. Anyone remember Kadri (TOR) attempting to decapitate Henrik Sedin, who ducked at virtually the last split-second & Kadri gave his own player the head-shot - instead? ^He should have received a penalty for being completely reckless out there, for endangering other players, including his own teammate with an irresponsible “shot to the head”! ^Wish I could find that! That is how/why guys like Marchand & Kadri embarrass this league. IIHF hockey deals with these phoney over-hyped wild cards - better! Would you work beside someone who put your life at risk, every time he showed up to work at your job site?! Where’s the NHLPA in policing their own?!! Don’t be counting upon Burkie’s appointed DPS-types like Pronger or Parros to be doing it, either.

If not for all of that equipment being worn by Smith, there could have been a ”Steve Moore” type piling-on incident there. Oilers players were fools, with a man down - ease up! Not much of a hit for a major penalty & a game misconduct - but if Mike Smith wants to be all dramatic about it - then do the protocol, dude! Good show - ref!

I agree about Tanev being missing X-factor in this game, as he was for the Canucks. Canucks haven’t replaced him. He’s a clear #1. Maybe he’s not a sharp-shooter, but for defensive smarts, positioning, blocking-out, breaking-out, reading plays, shot-blocking, threading wrist shots through traffic, he’s solid & so under-rated. Benning’s blunder.

They are launching everything but the kitchen sink at Marky, tonight! If they think he can be a weak link when getting lots of shots, I believe Markstrom will find his zone & play better. Yet, without Tanev out there doing his textbook thing - more defensive miscues & gaffs were inevitable for both Markstrom & those alternate D-pairings infront of him.
