@higgyfan  "they would have gotten a much better d than Guddy"  Not hard to get a better d that Guds (who is a third pairing D at best unless he's paired up with a D that can carry him like Edler or Campbell).  But Benning fixed that awful mistake by dealing the stiff for a servicable winger in Pearson.

Shoulda - coulda but the big difference may have been that Boston threw him over the boards and said hey kid do your thing, we'll tweek the other parts of your game in progress....

Over here we would of put him a leash on him or have sent him down sadly to learn "the 200 ft. game"....

I recall the Bruins handled Krug the same way!

I really wished we had signed Luke Schenn instead of Guddy and kept McCann. McCann could be a permanent winger for Bo and he's plays all three forwards positions so he could fill in for one of our top 2 guys in case of injury. Imagine:

McCann-Horvat-Virtanen 

looks better than where we're out now. if we want him back we can't have him as he's flourishing in Pittsburgh and they've wanted him since his draft year. Easily a burgeoning top 6 guy in my opinion.
