  1. How do you test for the amount of body fat? Or do you have to do it at some gym for a fee? A little side-topic.... Anyone know of a good place just across the border to buy supplements? I've been starting to use pre-workouts and those protein drinks... and they're pretty expensive.
  2. Can't everyone just get along... and just hate Scientologists instead?
  3. I find the etiquette and common courtesy on the skytrains very lacking. It seems that many don't seem to understand the concept of letting passengers out first before getting in. People purposely budge in front of you while you're waiting... even though you're just barely behind the yellow line... to make sure some idiot doesn't accidentally nudge you onto the tracks. How many people don't even take off their backpacks when it's crowded... I mean "hello? are you an moron? ever noticed I placed my duffel bag on the ground to avoid it smacking into other people?" Passengers just hug/lean on the bars, thus preventing anybody else from holding on without it being awkward. If you don't mind my hands brushing your breasts missy, back away from the bar handles! Not covering up when sneezing or coughing... I understand if you're like 3... but for god's sake you're an adult... behave like one! Those sitting down and not letting an elderly, pregnant/with young kids, or disabled/injured people have a seat. You see so many healthy guys and girls just not getting up for those who may needs those seats more. I get it if you were actually dozing off and you didn't notice... but when I can clearly see you looking up and about and not doing anything... it annoys me to no end. Heck, I go to work, then head to the gym afterwards for 2 hours and I still give up my seat. What's your excuse? For a "world class" city, transit riders are certainly classless.... /rant
  4. So.... where are those folks who said they hate the sun and love rain now?
  5. I remember hearing about how someone was visiting Japan and she kept being touched inappropriately. She immediately grab the hand really hard and turned to yell at the guy's face... "WTF! Stop touching me!!!!" That guy couldn't disappear any faster, lol. Also, wasn't there a story a few years back about how some guy was sexual assaulting some teen on the bus and when other passengers noticed, a whole bunch of them started pounding the perpetrator? Ladies... someone doing something unwanted to you... just scream at them or give them a free knuckle sandwich. Chances are those cowards will run with their tails between their legs. Those being more aggressive.... vigilantism will solve that
  6. The NYI does have a legit chance in making the playoffs this year. Their younger players do need playoff experience to develop. While the price is high for Vanek, the organization have nowhere to go but up, at least in the next 5 years. Them moving closer to the core of NY will be a huge selling point as well.
  7. I'm hoping that he either joins Gary Roberts in the off-season or have whoever the Sedins used after the lockout to improve their skating.
  8. There are low-lifes everywhere in Vancouver, so transit wouldn't be any different. If women are being harassed on the bus/train and if there are other people on-board (assuming it's not completely packed), just yell at the guy to stop. Chances are that person would be too embarrassed and will leave. If things escalate.... there might be a few who believe that chivalry still isn't dead.
  9. So.... if I'm going to Costco to shop for my family with enough stuff to fill up the trunk, I am supposed to use public transit? Good to know in your ideal world, it's gonna make my 1 hour trip into a 5 hour one. Great!
  10. Skytrain has been messed up for hours so far today. Buses are packed too.
  11. I'm still wondering why can't they just import whatever system and equipment already in place in other countries. It seems they are hellbent on spending taxpayer's money to re-invent the wheel.... and the wheel they make is crappy too!
  12. Dominating junior has no relevance to development. He'll just be an overager adult out-muscling weaker teens.
  13. Approximately 5'10, 185lbs.... I think body fat of like around 22%. Trying to remove the fat around the stomach area and also want to add more muscle to upper body.
  14. I used to puke often when I'm at the gym. Later on I realized that I was drinking way too much water. While being hydrated is very important... it's unlike you'll ever suffer from dehydration. Also.... better to bulk and then cut or vice versa?
  15. If they were threatening my family... I would have went reverse after going forward..... then back to drive.
  16. Woot! Rain! Thank goodness summer is over. Right?
  17. Yep, hopefully it will allow him to develop his strength even more. I mean, the year after he was drafted, he came back into camp all buff, tacking on like 15lbs of muscle or something.
  18. I'd rather he stick with the Canucks and learn from Kesler/Henrik. Plus, the conditioning and training staffs from the Canucks are probably better than in the OHL (with all due respect of course). A hands on coach like Torts and him most likely having some defensively reliable wingers will do wonders for his development.
  19. Buck is still a legit starting quarterback.... when healthy. In a limited role, he can be very effective, just like when he and Jarious Jackson were fighting for the starter's spot.
  20. Maybe MG sees Corrado as equal, if not greater ability than Tanev. Now he's just waiting for some team to offersheet Chris Tanev, thus he can blame the other team and player.
  21. He can still develop offense in the NHL too. Some 2nd PP time, rolling 4 lines will give him more ice time, etc. Besides, overpowering 16 year olds and shooting against junior goalies won't prepare him for the NHL. There's no substitute for NHL experience.
  22. Hansen would be a better fit on the 4th line than Booth. Not to say anything is wrong with the Great Dane, but one of his biggest strength is his ability to adapt to whatever the role of the line is. Booth should be moved to the 2nd line, as he is a proven top-6 player. Kassian should be moved to the 3rd to develop more. Less pressure and out against the 3rd pairing defensemen. With his speed and size, he can be very effective.
  23. Why do they even need to "test" it? I mean, it's already out there. Just seems a bit redundant.
