Starbug
As much as I like having the extra money, is there any particular reason payroll would stop taking income tax off a paycheque? I understand the whole capping out of EI and CPP contributions, but can that ever happen with income tax? Or have they just found a new way to screw up my paycheque? (I've sent them an email, but have no idea how long they're going to take to get back to me) Link to comment

Starbug
When would that come into effect? And wouldn't that just result in lower income tax deductions, not just an abrupt stoppage of them? Link to comment
Shift-4
Whoa - didn't realize it was a stoppage. And I was just guessing - I don't know when the provincial gov't change comes into effect. Link to comment
Sultan of Sarcasm
The change is January 1st, and is a 15% reduction (if you make less than $72K) You have a problem if they didn't take any income tax. Get it fixed immediately, because there is literally no circumstances under which you shouldn't be paying taxes, and you WILL end up paying for it come April. Link to comment
Starbug
Ugh I got an explanation and it's just left me even more confused. The finance guy is referencing things that shouldn't be applicable - at all - to this paycheque. Link to comment
