Guest AriGold
Jannik Hansen gets $4.05 million from #canucks over three years: $1.6M next season followed by $1.35M and $1.1 M.
pg500
Hansen is a great forechecker, pker, and defensive player who never takes a shift off. He's a 25 - 30 point player now, and I could see him getting 30 - 40 in the future if he continues to improve. It's a good deal now and if next year the cap goes up, or Hansen continues to improve, it's a great deal. Hansen is still 25, he's young and can still improve his skills. EDIT: 1.35mil caphit? that's an awesome deal as opposed to just a good one. Still don't think 1.65 would be an overpayment for him, but it's a moot point now. CanucksWino
Capgeek's got it too - Cap Geek. $1.35 million per year - awesome deal for the Canucks! I would have been happy with $1.75 million. This is fantastic.

-Vintage Canuck-
If that is true. It's an absolutely steal. 1.35 Cap hit for a 3rd liner, with potential to get better and for 3 years.

Wh!stler R!der
For those who think Hanson is overpaid he only gets 1.6 mil first year, 1.35 2nd year and 1.1 for the third.
Canucks17_33_22
I wonder if those people NOW will still say that it's an overpayment. 4.05 mil for 3 years is absolutely a steal. Just like Burrows' contract.

pg500
I wonder if anyone who thought 1.6mil was an overpayment will still think he's an overpayment because that's his salary this coming year?
Vansicle
Still over paid then. Cal Clutterbuck puts up more points and way more hits and only gets paid $1.4 mil. There is no way Hansen should be getting paid more then Cal clutterbuck
bAsRa17
WOW. We got him quite cheap.
The Scorgasms
Botch on the salary/cap hit: Sounds good. I'm seeing a few more tweets saying it's the $5 million/3 years ($1.67 million cap hit). Personally, I'd still consider that "taking less" and pretty good value (although it's in the high end of my predicted range of $1.5-1.75 million so I suppose it's not great value). Still, count me as one of those "fans" who "are going to like it" .
