No kidding. If Shaw is the best prospect he can name, I don't think they should be bragging. Sure the guy had a decent PPG pace, but it's less than half a season of sample size.

Schroeder will be a much better player.

Shaw isn't the best prospect the Hawks have... Schroder is small and will get ragdolled in the NHL. Judge their respective pools as the Nucks haven't drafted well and have traded away picks...

It's not rare for a team to be eliminated in the first round after playing in the SCF the season before. And as for the Pres trophy, the Canucks didn't really try all that hard to win it IMO. And yes, many thought the Hawks would go far -atleast the 2nd round, many thought Western final too. Not sure how many picked them as Cup faves though.

Nope, the Canucks have a solid core that will challenge again next season. Sad that the Hawks probably won't be able to do the same and will probably have to rebuild already. Oh well Hawks fans are use to decades of losing.

Schroeder's practically the same size as Shaw genious. Shows how much you know about our prospects.

The Hawks have been rebuilding dummy, remember after they won a cup ? The Nucks won't win a cup with this squad and the window is closing fast...

Size may be similar but Shaw plays with a reckless abandon that little schroder does not. I saw how LaLonde from the Icehogs threw Schoroder around...he plays smaller than his size.

In regards to the Nucks chances diminishing going forward ? Of course they do, age and injuries coupled with a thin prospect pool isn't a formula for winning the cup. Last year was the year... came up just short and look at what happened this year...

The west isn't getting weaker going forward...
