How does the Blackhawks losing help with the fact the Canucks were also eliminated in the first round? The Hawks lose and some Canucks fans jump all over us an Keith. That's an immature approach and gives the real Canucks fans a bad reputation. Even with the loss of Daniel the Canucks should have beat LA. Just like the Hawks should have beaten Phoenix without Hossa. Both teams are great and not far from another deep playoff run. With some smart summer tweaking both teams will be right back at it next year. To tell you the thruth, I'd rather have lost to the Canucks than the boring Yotes.

If you're comparing the Canucks and Blackhawks I think the Hawks long term future looks brighter (not to take away anything from the Canucks). Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, Keith, Seabrook, Shaw, Bolland, and Saad is a decent group to have around for a long time. The Canucks have the Sedins, Kesler, Bieksa, and one of Luongo or Schnieder. Burrows contract is up soon and I don't know of he'll return.

Many bars in Chicago erupted with cheers when Stoll scored as ESPN and many other sources in Chicago tweeted during our game vs LA, so what's the big deal if an online discussion board is happy with the Blackhawks losing? We aren't saying this makes up for our loss vs LA, geez.

Way to downgrade our group of players. You managed to leave leave out Hamhuis and Edler, who are both better than Seabrook. Not to mention Hansen who is just about as good as Bolland.

We also have Kassian and Schroeder who will be just as good as Saad and Shaw.

I'm not gonna argue who's prospects are better even though I think ours are. Time will tell how they all develop.

That's rich - you name a kid like Shaw as a core player in your future (premature? half a season in the NHL) and you leave out the cornerstones on the Canucks blueline Hamhuis, Edler... Hey, tell yourselves what you need to - the Hawks backed into 8th place last year, and 'improved' to 6th this year... Your best player is 33 years old, and if you are banking on Shaw as your best prospect, I am sure the whole Western Conference is trembling with intimidation...

Torres may be a repeat suspender, but Keith's elbow was cheaper than anything Torres has done in his NHL career.
