How is he not? He's played over 100 NHL Games thus is waiver eligible if he is assigned to minors...

He is not eligible to be assigned to the minors without clearing waivers. LA would have to actually place him on waivers to make that roster move, and has not officially done so. His above posted roster move will not be processed.

I'm not a fan for the same reason as the past... 2 conferences of 7 and 2 of 8...

Also... y not just wait for the inevitable of PHX moving even if it means screwing over Winnipeg for a couple more years...

I agree... even though Winnipeg should be in the West, it's not like they're not going to travel once they move West.

... and why is Phoenix still in Phoenix.....? :picard:

Okay, here's the options:

Option 1 - NHL Realignment Plan, QUE moves back to PHX

Pacific - ANA, CGY, EDM, LA, PHX, SJ, VAN (7)

MidWest - CHI, COL, DAL, MIN, NSH, STL, WPG (7)

Central - BOS, BUF, DET, FLA, MTL, OTT, TB, TOR (8)

Atlantic - CAR, CBJ, NJ, NYI, NYR, PHI, PIT, WSH (8)

Playoff format as described in NHLs Realignment plan.

Option 2 - Modified re-alignment plan #1. QUE stays in Quebec.

Pacific Division: ANA, SJ, LA, CGY, EDM, VAN, COL (7)

Mid-West Division: WPG, MIN, DAL, STL, CHI, NSH, DET, CBJ (8)

Central Division: QUE, MTL, OTT, BOS, BUF, TOR, PIT (7)

Atlantic Division: TB, FLA, CAR, WSH, NYI, NYR, NJ, PHI (8)

15 teams in each "conference". Playoff format remains the same. Division winners get 1-2 seeds, top 8 in each Conference make the the playoffs. (Also an option, mirroring the intra-divisional playoff rounds as part of the NHL's re-alignment)

Option 3 - Modified re-alignment plan #2. QUE moves to PHX.

Pacific Division: ANA, SJ, LA, CGY, EDM, VAN, PHX (7)

Mid-West Division: WPG, MIN, COL, DAL, STL, CHI, NSH, DET (8)

Central Division: MTL, OTT, BOS, BUF, TOR, PIT, CBJ (7)

Atlantic Division: TB, FLA, CAR, WSH, NYI, NYR, NJ, PHI (8)

15 teams in each "conference". Playoff format remains the same. Division winners get 1-2 seeds, top 8 in each Conference make the the playoffs. (Also an option, mirroring the intra-divisional playoff rounds as part of the NHL's re-alignment)
