moz
Just listened to CD1 - my goodness, can this band get any better? I don't care if I sound like the biggest fangirl ever, it is just brilliant. Makes me want to dance so bad. I wish there were bars that would play this sort of stuff in Vancouver (if such a place exists then someone lead the way). Jonathan Ross is even on there (I'm 99% sure it's his voice speaking on "You Already Know"). On to CD 2... edit - CD2 is just as every bit fantastic as the first. Porno kinda reminds me of Wham - Everything She Wants. (or maybe not that song, but it's very 80's pop and I love it). Don't think there's a song that I don't like, maybe some of the instrumentals could be clipped down a bit, but yeah, nothing to complain about really. Solid album. moz
It's not that much really, think it's like $20 or something. Can't stop listening to We Exist, so good. Hating the fact that they're playing in the UK (Blackpool of all places) and I'm in Vancouver. They better come this way.
Raoul Duke
Arcade Fire's new album? Listened through it twice, just not digging it. There's a couple solid beats and sounds here and there, but the vocals and lyrics are just like WTF??? I dunno, I may be in the minority here. I'm a big fan of them, but so far it's a disappointment IMO. Gonna give Cut Copy's new album "Free Your Mind" a listen to now. The first single is great. Love these guys, especially live
The Bookie
I gave Reflektor two listens today and thought it was great, probably an 8.5. Promising, since every previous album of theirs has gotten better on repeat listens. Joan of Arc was the standout for me so far.

GLASSJAW
pitchfork just gave arcade fire a remarkably high 9.2 good review http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/18667-arcade-fire-reflektor/
The Bookie
That is a good review. Does a better job of saying some of the feelings I had on the first couple listens. I finally got around to listening to the new mix of In Utero that came out last month. Pretty good. Always been my favourite of their albums. The new version is more noticeable in some places than in others. Pretty Ape has cleaner vocals and the guitar sounds more powerful, and Milk It (favourite track) breathes a bit deeper. On the other hand, All Apologies comes out sounding cheesier, which I guess explains why that and Heart Shaped Box were remixed by Litt on the original release. TOMapleLaughs
New Arcade Fire? Like all of their releases, there's a lot you have to trudge through before hitting the goods. This album has 2-3 decent songs, but will of course get massively overrated. New Soundgarden? No thanks. They're done. The latest Alice In Chains efforts are remarkably better. New Pearl Jam? A few decent tracks. About what you'd expect. New Nine Inch Nails? (Didn't he quit?) Is alright. Reminds me more of his weird futuristic/aliens album than anything else. But somebody put in a generic pop guitar song in there. imho Sounded stranger than anything else he's ever done. A few decent tracks. New Soulfly? Lol, dat low-pitched cookie monster growling. 2-3 songs deep, if you dig it. New Placebo? It's alright. The low-to-high pitched syllable progression per line gets a bit tired in spots though. A few decent tracks. New Korn? Their old guitarist Head is back. So a slight return to their old style riffs, but still putting in dubstep. Surprisingly decent effort, as i expected nothing much, but it's not top-notch by any stretch. A few decent tracks.
