Now here's the awesome news. 3rd and final game, a 5-1 win. Cue the stats: Burakovsky with an assist, Bennett with a goal, Drouin with a goal and an assist, Turris with an assist, Ferraro with an assist, and Grimaldi with 2 goals and an assist. Couldn't be pleased enough of what the youth has done since post trade deadline. Here's an overview of what the kids have done in 6 Games Played since being called up kick starting the rebuild: - Drouin: 3 Goals, 2 Assists. - Bennett: 3 Goals, +3 Rating. - Ferraro: 1 Assist, +3 Rating. - Doherty: 1 Assist, averaging most ice time per game. - Turris: 1 Goal, 1 Assist. - Dillon: 1 Assist, logging 2nd most minutes. - Burakovsky: 1 Goal, 1 Assist. - Grimaldi: 3 Goals, 2 Assists. - Markstrom: 133 saves on 145 shots, with a .917 save percentage. The youngsters have proved thus far that the rebuild was the right move to make and it's been a great success. With the way the youngsters have been producing - especially the likes of Drouin, Grimaldi, Bennett, and Burakovsky - I'm really looking forward to them potentially getting some honours such as stars of the week and rookie honours.
