Luongo will most likely be starting and he's fragile after last night. Great job on the mindcheck by Alain Vigneault.

It's time for Luongo to grab the reigns and prove once and for all to the haters that he's worth 60 million dollars and not a choke artist.

He has the opportunity to be a hero or be a loser, its all up to Luongo how this goes down, time for Lu to step up and be the man that he thinks he is.

He could write himself a story book ending or a nightmare finish.

the irony of the nightmare finish for Luongo would mean possibly receiving a golden handshake from Aquilini in the form of a buyout.

Luongo could also end up sealing Vigneaults fate here as well if this goes sideways and the boys get ethered.

I'm not sure when this all gets under way, but I'd be very suprised not to see Schnieder ready to go. If Lui did have to start... and played really well backstopping the team to several victories, I'm curious as to would AV continue to go with him or under what circumstances would he go to Corey? Just interesting to think about....

Because their teams weren't built from the net out. Those teams were designed to win games 5-4, The Canucks were built from the net outwards with the intent of being able to win 1-0, 2-1 type games. When the goalie is letting in 7 or 8, the team simply isn't designed to overcome that kind of handicap.

Brodeur had a .867 sv%. For whatever reason, he just wasn't in it right from the start. That doesn't mean that Luongo was amazing...he was just solid. So why are people still bringing up the olympics 3 years later when he really wasn't even a difference maker?
