Canuck Crazy Posted May 23, 2013 Share Posted May 23, 2013 This is what I propose. Alex Edler for Ryan Ellis and Nashville's 1st for 2013. Ryan Ellis is a right handed puck moving defenceman. We all seen what that little Danielsson guy on Team Sweden did on the powerplay. Weber has definitely been missing Suter. Edler and Weber would be a close second to that dominant defensive pairing. Canuck Crazy Posted May 23, 2013 Author Share Posted May 23, 2013 This deal was made in mind to retool on the fly more then improving our chances of winning it next year. I agree we'd be on the short end of the stick for maybe the next year or so but Ellis has all the potential to be a Letang type and with the 4th overall we could draft whatever we're looking for. If we want more size on D we could pick up Darnell Nurse 6-5, or if we wanted elite skill and size up front Nichushkin would look great on the wing. Monahan and Barkov would be available, all great prospects. (That is assuming Jones, Mackinnion and Drouin go 1-2-3.
