Bombastik der Teutone
First Pro-Win for Mathias Niederberger http://www.ontariore...article_id=1956 STOCKTON, Calif. – The Ontario Reign (2-0-0-0), back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, came back from a two-goal deficit to beat the Stockton Thunder (1-1-0-0) 4-2 at Stockton Arena on Wednesday night before 2,627 fans. Stockton’s Kirill Kabanov opened the scoring for the night netting the first goal with just 2:08 left in the first period. He fired the puck past Mathias Niederberger’s glove in the Reign goaltender’s first professional appearance. The Thunder added another goal just 3:12 into the second period from Ryan Hayes to take a 2-0 lead. A mere 96 seconds later, Mario Lamoureux recorded his second goal in as many games off a twice deflected shot from Matt Register at the blue line; Brady Calla picked up the secondary assist on the tally. Ontario’s Dan DaSilva was in prime position to even the score with a redirect on defenseman Zach Bell’s shot from the point. Ontario jumped ahead with their third unanswered goal from Winnipeg Jets prospect Yasin Cisse for his first professional goal. Los Angeles Kings prospect Alex Roach set up the play with Bell who earned his second point of the game on the assist. With just 22 seconds left in regulation, DaSilva sent a long shot into the Thunder’s empty net for the insurance goal giving Ontario a 4-2 comeback win. Roach earned his second point with the lone assist. Niederberger earned his first professional win stopping 26 of 28 shots; Parker Milner took the loss with 23 saves on 26 shots. Primal Optimist
Goaltender Justin Peters remains available and easily negotiated. With Carolina Hurricanes starter Cam Ward out for a month, Justin might be a bit of relief for a team in need of a backup who will get some ice time. 3rd, prospect or unsigned prospect are rumoured to be the asking price. Otis
TRADE: The St. Louis Blues have made a trade with the Florida Panthers. To FLA: Darren Archibald To STL: Mike Hoffman LA 2015 3rd Round Draft Selection We are very pleased to welcome Darren back to our organization, we feel he brings a physical presence and some skill, and now that he is finally getting his chance at the NHL, he will make the most of it and stick on the roster. Best of luck to Mike in St.Louis, he struggled in camp and wasn't able to make the team, though he has had a good start to his season in the minors, we hope he can continue bouncing back and make an impact with the Blues.
